Corinna Salander
Corinna Salander (1967) is a German physicist and engineer who has been serving as director of the German Centre for Rail Traffic Research (DZSF) since 2020. Career She studied physics from 1987 to 1993 at University of Kiel. She received a PhD in electrical engineering from Clausthal University of Technology in 1999. Her dissertation was on algorithms for the calculation of electromagnetic fields in rail vehicles. From 1999 to 2014, she held multiple executive positions at Deutsche Bahn, European Union Agency for Railways and Bombardier. She held a chair in rail vehicle technology (german: Schienenfahrzeugtechnik) at the University of Stuttgart from 2014 to 2019. She was the first female European professor in railway transport technology. The chair was supported by Knorr Bremse und Voith Turbo GmbH. Lawrence B. "Larry" Salander (born 1949) is a former New York City art dealer and artist. His company, the Salander-O'Reilly Galleries, was cited by the Robb Report in 2003 as the best gallery in the world. By late 2007, Salander had been sued by numerous customers and business partners who claimed that Salander and his company had defrauded them. In November 2007, Salander filed for personal bankruptcy, listing John McEnroe among his creditors. At the time, several artists represented by Salander-O'Reilly also claimed to be owed money. As a result of his bankruptcy, Salander and his wife were ordered to relinquish control of their finances to a trustee. In March 2009, Salander was charged with 13 counts of first-degree grand larceny, 10 counts of second-degree grand larceny, and other charges. Sven Salander
Lieutenant General Sven Philip Salander (5 July 1894 – 31 March 1965) was a senior Swedish Army officer. He served as Commanding General of the Commanding General, V Military District from 1947 to 1959. Early life Salander was born on 5 July 1894 in Hedvig Eleonora Parish, Stockholm, Sweden, the son of captain Nils Salander and his wife Elsa Hilda Sofia Söderhielm. Salander passed ''studentexamen'' in Stockholm in 1911. Career Salander was commissioned as an officer in 1913 and received the rank of ''underlöjtnant'' and was assigned to Svea Artillery Regiment the same year. He attended the Artillery and Engineering College from 1915 to 1918 and the Swedish Army Riding and Horse-Driving School from 1919 to 1920. Salander served in the Artillery Staff from 1923 to 1930, was promoted to major in 1934 and then served as head of department in the Artillery Staff from 1934 to 1937.
