Saka Language
Saka, or Sakan, was a variety of Eastern Iranian languages, attested from the ancient Buddhist kingdoms of Khotan, Kashgar and Tumshuq in the Tarim Basin, in what is now southern Xinjiang, China. It is a Middle Iranian language. The two kingdoms differed in dialect, their speech known as Khotanese and Tumshuqese. The Saka rulers of the western regions of the Indian subcontinent, such as the Indo-Scythians and Western Satraps, spoke practically the same language. Documents on wood and paper were written in modified Brahmi script with the addition of extra characters over time and unusual conjuncts such as ''ys'' for ''z''. The documents date from the fourth to the eleventh century. Tumshuqese was more archaic than Khotanese, but it is much less understood because it appears in fewer manuscripts compared to Khotanese. Pınar Saka (born 5 November 1985) is a Turkish female track running athlete in the sprint discipline competing in the categories 100 m, 200 m and 400 m. She is the Turkish national record holder for 400 m. This time is the first time a Turkish woman ran under 52 seconds and also a qualifying mark for Olympics that will be held in London in 2012. She was chosen as Regional Athlete of the Year in Midwest both in 2008 and 2009. Hasan Saka
Hasan Saka (1885 – 29 July 1960) was a Turkish politician, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Prime Minister of Turkey. Political career He graduated from "Mülkiye Mektebi" (School of Civil Service) in 1908. Hasan Saka started working for government in "Divan-ı Muhasebat" (Council of Accounts). He was sent to France for further education by the Ottoman government in 1909. After graduating from the School of Political Science with a Diplomacy major, he returned home to continue his prior job. He was elected as a member of the Ottoman Parliament in Istanbul at its last term and kept his position until the parliament was closed. He was elected as a member of Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) from Trabzon at its first term on 28 January 1921. He was a member of the Turkish delegation at the Lausanne Conference . Fuat Saka
Fuat Saka (born 1952) is a Turkish singer, songwriter, arranger, and guitarist (although he may be more precisely called a multi-instrumentalist). Saka received art training in İstanbul and later music training in France and (Germany). He had to leave Turkey in 1980, after the coup for political reasons.
