Sajjan (newspaper)
''Sajjan Lahore'' (Punjabi language, Punjabi: ''روزنامہ سجن'' / ''ਰੁਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਸਜਣ'') was a Punjabi language, Punjabi newspaper published from Lahore, Punjab (Pakistan), Punjab, Pakistan. It was the first Punjabi daily newspaper to be published in Pakistan. Its first issue appeared on 3 February 1989. Is still continued today now in the form of E-Newspaper with the name of SajjanLahore.com, Yes it was discontinued after that because of financial constraints caused by a lack of advertising revenue from the government and the private sector. It was a venture of Punjabi Promotion Trust. Hussain Naqi was its managing editor, Qaisar Nazir Khawar was its deputy managing editor, whereas Zafrayab Ahmed was its editor. Zafaryab Ahmed died on 25 February 2006. A number of Punjabi lovers worked in it voluntarily not only in editorial team but also in administrative setup. Sajjan (actor)
Sajjan (15 January 1921 – 17 May 2000) was a Bollywood and stage actor. He acted in several plays and movies from the 1950s to the 1980s. His best known films are ''Bees Saal Baad'', ''Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi'', ''April Fool'', ''Rail Ka Dibba'', ''Johny Mera Naam'' and ''Jhumroo''. Early life Born on January 15, 1921, in Jaipur, his full name was Sajjan Lal Purohit, but he was known by his first name in the Indian film industry. Sajjan graduated from Jaswant college in Jodhpur. He had a desire to be a lawyer, but not an actor. Career In 1941, he arrived in Calcutta and worked as an apprentice in a laboratory of the East India Company. His initial breakthrough in films was as an extra in films such as '' Masoom'' (1941) and ''Chowringhee'' (1942). Sajjan left Calcutta during te Second World War and reached Mumbai where he worked as an assistant to the famous director Kidar Sharma. Harjit Sajjan
Harjit Singh Sajjan (, ; born September 6, 1970) is a Canadian politician who has served as the minister of international development since October 26, 2021. A member of the Liberal Party, Sajjan represents the British Columbia (BC) riding of Vancouver South in the House of Commons, taking office as member of Parliament (MP) following the 2015 election. Sajjan served as the minister of national defence from 2015 to 2021. Before his entry into politics, Sajjan worked as a detective in the Vancouver Police Department and was a lieutenant-colonel in the Canadian Army. He is Canada's first Sikh minister of national defence, and was also the first Sikh Canadian to command a Canadian Army reserve regiment.
