Saint Patrick's College, Karachi
Saint Patrick's College or St. Patrick's College is a Catholic education institute located in Karachi, Pakistan affiliated with the University of Karachi. It is located alongside St Patrick's High School, Karachi. It was established in 1952. by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Karachi. Saint Patrick's College is a co-educational institution offering courses leading to the Intermediate certificate of education and baccalaureate degrees from the University of Karachi. In 1972 it was nationalized by the Government of Pakistan. In 2005 it was returned to the Catholic Board of Education. The denationalization was opposed by the Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association and Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal who claimed it would result in doors being closed to students from poor- and middle-class families. Humayun Saeed Ansari (born 27 July 1971), professionally known as Humayun Saeed, is a Pakistani actor and producer. Emmanuel Neno is a Pakistani Christian author and translator. Major work Along with Robert McCulloch he completed a new Urdu translation of the Catechism of the Catholic Church in 2014. The Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelization has approved the Urdu translation and authorised its publication. It took thirteen years to complete. Michael James Nazir-Ali ( ur, ; born 19 August 1949) is a Pakistani-born British Roman Catholic priest and former Anglican bishop who served as the 106th Bishop of Rochester from 1994 to 2009 and, before that, as Bishop of Raiwind in Pakistan. Wasim Bari ( ur, ; born 23 March 1948) is a former Pakistani international cricketer who played in 81 Test matches and 51 One Day Internationals from 1967 to 1984. Bari was a wicket-keeper and right-handed batsman. At the end of his 17-year career he was the most capped player in Pakistani Test history. His talent was first recognised in 1967 with members of the England under 25 team stating that he was the best keeper to come out of the South Asia.
