Saint Gabriel's College
Saint Gabriel's College ( th, โรงเรียนเซนต์คาเบรียล) is a private Catholic all-boys school in Bangkok, Thailand. The school was founded by the Brothers of Saint Gabriel in 1920. The school educates students from grade 1 through grade 12 (K–12). Admission, especially in first grade, is highly competitive as only approximately 400 students per year are admitted. Total school enrollment is roughly 5,000 students. The school is known for its intensive English program. History In 1918, after the First World War ended, the demand for schools and education in Bangkok sharply increased. At that time, the Brothers of Saint Gabriel had established only one school in Bangkok, Assumption College. As a response to increasing demand, Brother Martin de Tours proposed opening a new school in Bangkok. Chirayu Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya (, , ; born 12 November 1942) is a Thai economist and court official. He has been the Director-General of the Crown Property Bureau and Grand Chamberlain of the Bureau of the Royal Household since 1987 and become Lord Chamberlain of the Royal Household in the end of 2016. Chirayu is an avowed proponent of the "sufficiency economy" philosophy that is promoted by King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Background and education Chirayu was born in Bangkok. Teeradej Meepien ( th, ธีรเดช มีเพียร, , ; born 21 March 1940) is a Thai retired general and politician. From 2007 to 2010, he was the Chief Ombudsman of Thailand. From May 2011 to July 2012, he was the President of the Senate of Thailand who is ''ex officio'' also the Vice President of the National Assembly. He has been deputy defence minister in Thaksin Shinawatra's government, and president of the National Olympic Committee of Thailand. Rapee Sagarik
Rapee Sagarik ( th, ระพี สาคริก, 4 December 1922 – 17 February 2018) was a Thai horticulturist, botanist and orchid expert. He was a professor at Kasetsart University and served as its president from 1972 to 1980. In addition to scientifically studying and cataloging orchids, for which he became known as the "father of Thai orchidology", he also worked in rice cultivar development and agriculture research, and served as Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives. Samak Sundaravej ( th, สมัคร สุนทรเวช, , ; 13 June 1935 – 24 November 2009) was a Thai politician who briefly served as the Prime Minister of Thailand and Minister of Defense in 2008, as well as the leader of the People's Power Party in 2008. Queen Sirikit ( th, สิริกิติ์; ; ); born ''Mom Rajawongse'' Sirikit Kitiyakara ( th, สิริกิติ์ กิติยากร; ; 12 August 1932) is the queen mother of Thailand. Bleachers (North American English), or stands, are raised, tiered rows of benches found at sports fields and other spectator events.
