Sailing At The 2023 Pan American Games
Sailing competitions at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile are schedule to take place between October 28 and November 5, 2023 at the Cofradia Nautica del Pacifico (''Nautical Brotherhood of the Pacific'' in English) in the city of Algarrobo. A total of 13 events will be contested, an increase of two from the 2019 Pan American Games. The sunfish event has been split in two, to have an event each for men and women. Also, the kites event was split in two, with the men and women now competing in separate events. The RS:X boat has also been replaced with the IQFoil. A total of 172 sailors (82 men and 90 women) are scheduled to compete. The top two placing athletes (not already qualified) from North America and South America in the men's laser and women's laser radial, qualified for the sailing competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France (with the sailing competitions scheduled to be held in Marseille, along with the top boat in each region in the w ...

Sailing At The 2019 Pan American Games
Sailing competitions at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru took place between August 3 and 10, 2019 at the Yacht Club Peruano in the city of Paracas (municipality), Paracas. Ten medal events were contested. Two of the events were for men, three for women, two were open (any gender can compete) and three are mixed (entries are required to include both genders). Eight of the events were carried over from the Sailing at the 2015 Pan American Games, 2015 Games, with the Nacra 17 and Kites events replacing the Hobie 16 and J/24. A total of 148 athletes across 106 boats qualified to compete at the games. On January 17, 2019, it was announced that an 11th medal event would be contested, the 49er, for men. A total of 168 sailors and 116 boats were scheduled to compete. Lee Parkhill (born November 22, 1988) in Oakville, Ontario is a Canadian sailor in the Laser class. His highest ranking is 11th in July 2014. Career By 2007, he started sailing full rig Lasers, placing 4th in the Laser North American Championships in June 2007, 2nd at the Laser US Championships in August 2008, and finally winning the annual CORK regatta in August 2008. He finished 16th at the 2009 Laser Worlds, 15th at the 2010 Laser Europeans, 7th at the 2009 Miami OCR, 6th at the 2010 Miami OCR and 11th at the 2011 Princess Sofia. Self Against City was a pop rock band from Sacramento, California best known for their single "The Process." They formed in 2004 and were the first band to sign to Rushmore Records. The five-piece band made an EP (2005's ''Take It How You Want It''), as well as a full-length album ''Telling Secrets to Strangers'' (2007).
