Saifuddin Ahmed (police Officer)
Saifuddin Ahmed (1927 – 27 September 2010) was a Bangladeshi actor. He acted in around 400 films and over 100 television plays. He won a Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the film ''Sundori ''Sundori'' is a 1979 Bangladeshi feature film directed by Amjad Hossain. The film won Bangladesh National Film Award in 8 categories including Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Music Director, Best Lyrics, Best Male Playback Si ...'' (1979). Dhubri
Dhubri (Pron: ˈdhubri) is an old town and headquarter of Dhubri district in Indian state of Assam. It is an old town on the bank of the Brahmaputra river, with historical significance. In 1883, the town was first constituted as a Municipal Board under the British regime. It is situated about west from Dispur, the state capital of Assam. The town is also an important commercial centre and had a busy river port particularly for jute. Dhubri is called the "Land of Rivers" as it is covered three sides by Brahmaputra and Gadadhar rivers. ''Beder Meye Josna'' () is a 1989 Bangladeshi film directed by Tojammel Haque Bokul. The film stars Ilias Kanchan and Anju Ghosh in the lead roles. This story was taken from a very old rural Bengali play of the same name. The tune of the title song, "Beder meye Jyotsna amay katha diyeche," was adopted from the song "Ek pardesi mera dil le gaya" from the film ''Phagun'' (1958). Plot In Bengal, Bede means a caste or group of people who make their living by catching snakes and entertaining people by making the snakes dance to the tune of there flutes. Josna is a girl from this community. One day a poisonous snake bites the foot of a local prince. A bede is called to cure the prince. He sees the wound and declares that only Josna can extract the poison from the prince's blood.
