Sadhna ( hi, साधना; ur, سادھنا; translation: ''Realize'', also transliterated as ''Sadhana'') is a 1958 Black-and-white Social guidance Hindi film produced and directed by B. R. Chopra. The film stars Sunil Dutt and Vyjayanthimala in the lead with Leela Chitnis, Radhakrishan, Manmohan Krishna, Uma Dutt and Ravikant, forming an ensemble cast. The story, screenplay and dialogue was penned by Mukhram Sharma. The film revolves around Rajini (Vyjayanthimala), a prostitute, and her love affair with a professor (Sunil Dutt). Mukhram Sharma
Mukhram Sharma (29 May 1909 – 25 April 2000) was an Indian film lyricist, script, and story writer. He is best known for winning the first Filmfare Award in the Filmfare Award for Best Story, Best Story category in 1955 for the film ''Aulad (1954 film), Aulad''. His notable works as story writer include ''Vachan'' (1955), ''Sadhna (1958 film), Sadhna'' (1958), ''Talaq (1958 film), Talaq'' (1958) and ''Dhool Ka Phool'' (1959). A unit still photographer, or simply a still photographer, is a person who creates film stills, still photographic images specifically intended for use in the marketing and publicity of feature films in the motion picture industry and network television productions. ''Dhool Ka Phool'' () is a 1959 Indian Hindi-language film produced by B. R. Chopra and directed by B. R.'s brother Yash Chopra, being his first movie as a director, having been an assistant director in B. R.'s earlier film ''Naya Daur''. The film stars Rajendra Kumar, Mala Sinha, Nanda, Leela Chitnis, Jeevan, Manmohan Krishna, and Ashok Kumar. Yash Chopra
Yash Raj Chopra (27 September 1932 21 October 2012) was an Indian people, Indian film director and film producer who worked in Bollywood, Hindi cinema.
