Sadegh Tirafkan
Sadegh Tirafkan ( fa, صادق تیرافکن; July 3, 1965 in Karbala, Iraq to Iranian parents – May 9, 2013 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) was an Iranian contemporary artist who lived mainly in Tehran, Iran. Career Tirafkan employed different media in his work: photography, video installation, and collage. He graduated from Tehran University with a degree in Photography in 1989 and participated in solo and group exhibitions worldwide. Tirafkan's work included "Manhood", which dealt with the perception of masculinity in Persian culture. Other projects such as "Persepolis", "Ashoura", "Secret of Words", "Iranian Man", "Whispers of the East", "The Loss of Our Identity", "Multitude" and "Devotion" dealt with Iranian history, identity, sociopolitical, religious and gender issues. His works are in the collections of several museums including the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, British Museum, Brooklyn Museum and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Escola De La Llotja
The Escola de la Llotja (, "Llotja School"; es, Escuela de la Lonja), officially the Escola d'Arts i Oficis de Barcelona (Barcelona Arts and Crafts School), is an art and design school located in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The Maison Européenne de la Photographie (MEP; European house of photography), located in the historic heart of Paris, is a center for contemporary photographic art opened in February 1996. Location and activities The Hotel Henault de Cantobre, which was built in 1706, houses the Maison Européenne de la Photographie and is located at n. 5, Rue de Fourcy.
