Saagar (film)
''Saagar'' () is a 1985 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Ramesh Sippy. The film stars Rishi Kapoor, Kamal Haasan and Dimple Kapadia. The film featured lyrics, story and screenplay written by Javed Akhtar and music by R. D. Burman. It received critical acclaim upon release, and winning four Filmfare Awards. This was the second instance in the history of Filmfare Awards where an actor has been nominated for both Best Actor as well as Best Actor in Supporting role, the previous nominee for both awards was Ashok Kumar (for Aashirwad in 1968). Kamal Haasan ultimately won the Best Actor award, his first and only award in that category for a Hindi film. ''Saagar'' was also a comeback film for Kapadia. ''Saagar'' ( ur, ساگر; ; ) is the debut album by the Pakistani pop rock band, Fuzön, released in January, 2002 by Amazing Productions/Empire Music Limited in Pakistan and by Virgin Records in India. The album is also known eponymously as ''Fuzön,'' and was re-released in 2004 by the Sound Master record label. ''Saagar'' is noteworthy for embedding elements of Hindustani classical ''ragas'' within pop rock and jazz compositions, and is widely considered a pathbreaking album for the way it revolutionized Pakistani music in the 2000s. The album also made history by becoming the first album to be released by a band simultaneously in both India and Pakistan. Aiysha Saagar (born 6 January 1980) is an Australian pop singer. She completed her studies in Accounting, Law and Financial Planning. She started her career as a glamour model. In 2012 she became an official Brand Ambassador of Australia's Gold Coast. In mid-2012, Aiysha created controversy by posing topless while being the Gold Coast, Australia's brand ambassador.
