SBS Eight O'Clock News
''SBS Eight O'Clock News'' (Also known as ''SBS 8 News'' (''SBS 8 뉴스'' in Korean)) is the flagship nightly newscast of the Seoul Broadcasting System. Airing from 19:50~21:00 KST on weekdays since 21 September 2020 and from 20:00~20:45 KST on weekends, the newscast is known for breaking the tradition of airing news at 21:00 mastered by KBS with ''KBS News 9'', MBC with ''MBC Newsdesk '' and JTBC with ''JTBC Newsroom'', which gave the slogan: "News an hour earlier". It premiered on 9 December 1991, in conjunction with SBS' launch. In commemoration of the broadcaster's 20th anniversary on 9 December 2011, SBS 8 News celebrated its 20th anniversary, making it the longest-running nightly newscast airing on a private broadcaster. Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) () is one of the leading South Korean television and radio broadcasters. The broadcaster legally became known as SBS in March 2000, changing its corporate name from Seoul Broadcasting System (서울방송). Its flagship terrestrial television station SBS TV broadcasts as channel 6 for digital and cable. Established on 14 November 1990, SBS is the largest private broadcaster in South Korea, and is owned by the Taeyoung Construction. It operates its flagship television channel which has a nationwide network of 10 regional stations, and three radio networks. Yang Se-hyung (born August 18, 1985), is a South Korean comedian and entertainer. He is most known for his work on the tvN sketch comedy show ''Comedy Big League'' and MBC's ''Infinite Challenge''. Korea New Network
Korea New Network (KNN) () is the biggest regional free-to-air commercial broadcasting station based in Centum City, a high-tech media development complex within Haeundae in Busan, South Korea. KNN is affiliated with SBS. It was originally founded in April 1994 as Pusan Broadcasting Corporation (PSB) (). It had first begun its demo transmissions upon its establishment in April, and later on September 7 the same year it had begun its test transmissions, and then commenced its official broadcasts on May 14, 1995.
