S.S. Maceratese 1922
Società Sportiva Maceratese S.r.l. (formerly Associazione Calcio Maceratese S.r.l. and Fulgor Maceratese S.r.l.) was an Italian football club located in Macerata in the Marche region. The club folded in 2017. Since 2018, another club, S.S. Maceratese 1922 (incorporated as Associazione Calcio Dilettantistica S.S. Maceratese 1922), became a successor, which use the same logo and color. History From U.C. Maceratese to A.C. Maceratese The club was founded in 1922 as U.C. Maceratese after the merger of the four main teams in the city: Helvia Recina, Macerata, Robur Macerata and Virtus Macerata. In the summer 2001 it has changed its name to A.C. Maceratese. In 2009 the club went bankrupt. From Fulgor Maceratese to S.S. Maceratese Thanks to Article 52 of N.O.I.F., in the summer 2009 the club was refounded as Fulgor Maceratese S.r.l. in Eccellenza Marche. Stadio Helvia Recina
Stadio (literally, ''Stadium'') is an Italian pop rock band formed in 1977. The members are Giovanni Pezzoli (drums), Roberto Drovandi (bass guitar), Andrea Fornili (guitar), and Gaetano Curreri (vocals and keyboard). Formation and early recordings The group had a long-standing arrangement as an accompanying band to Lucio Dalla, a Bologna-born singer. Stadio had its first notable public appearance in the mid-1970s, when the group appeared on Lucio Dalla's 1975 collaborative album with Roberto Roversi, '' Anidride Solforosa'' (Italian for "sulfur dioxide"). The members of Stadio on this album were Giovanni Pezzoli playing the drums, Marco Nanni playing the bass and Fabio Liberators playing the keyboard. Ricina or Helvia Recina (present Villa Potenza) was a Roman town located in the lower Potenza valley, the contemporary Italian region Marche. Geography In the lower Potenza valley, on the left bank of the river Flosis (modern River Potenza), some 15 km from the estuary of the river, lies the Roman town of Ricina. The area today is in part occupied by the small hamlet of Villa Potenza, part of the ''comune'' of Macerata, and is partially used as farmland. Macerata
Macerata () is a city and ''comune'' in central Italy, the county seat of the province of Macerata in the Marche region. It has a population of about 41,564. History The historical city centre is on a hill between the Chienti and Potenza rivers. It first consisted of the Picenes city named Ricina (''Helvia Recina''), then, after its romanization, Recina and Helvia Recina. After the destruction of Helvia Recina by the barbarians, the inhabitants took shelter in the hills and eventually began to rebuild the city, first on the top of the hills, before descending again later and expanding. The newly rebuilt town was Macerata. The 2017–18 Serie C was the fourth season of the unified Serie C (formerly Lega Pro) division, the third tier of the Italian football league system. Teams A total of 60 teams were expected to contest the league, including 4 sides relegated from the 2016–17 Serie B season, 47 sides who played the 2016–17 Lega Pro season, and 9 sides promoted from the 2016–17 Serie D.
