S.C. Campomaiorense
Sporting Clube Campomaiorense, more commonly known as Campomaiorense, is a Portuguese football club from Campo Maior, Portalegre District. The club was founded on the 1 July 1926. The club currently plays at the Estádio Capitão Cesar Correia which holds a seating capacity of 7500. The club has played in Portugal's top football division, the Primeira Liga, for five seasons and reached the 1999 Taça de Portugal final. Campomaiorense is part of the Portalegre Football Association, which is the football association in charge of the Portalegre district's football matters. Campo Maior, Portugal
Campo Maior () is a municipality in the Portalegre District, Alentejo Region, Portugal. The population in 2011 was 8,456, in an area of . It is bordered by Spain on the North and East, by Elvas Municipality on the Southeast, and by Arronches Municipality on the West. History Campo Maior was certainly a Roman settlement - the ancient Muro Dam is close by - which was under control of the Moors for half a millennium. In 1219, it was conquered by Christian knights, the Pérez de Badajoz family, who then granted the village, which belonged to the municipality of Badajoz, to the Church of ''Santa Maria do Castelo'' (Saint Mary of the Castle). On May 31, 1255, King Alfonso X of Castile promoted the village to town status. In 1260, Bishop Friar Pedro Pérez, the Town Lord, granted the first charter (''foral'') to the inhabitants of Campo Maior. Diamantino Manuel Fernandes Miranda (born 3 August 1959), known simply as Diamantino in his playing days, is a Portuguese professional football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. He is the current manager of Mozambican club Liga Desportiva de Maputo. Diamantino most notably played for Benfica (11 seasons in two separate spells), appearing in more than 300 official matches and winning 11 major titles. After retiring, he embarked in a lengthy managerial career. An international during 1981–86, Diamantino represented Portugal at the 1986 World Cup and Euro 1984. The Terceira Divisão Portuguesa (in English: ''Portuguese Third Division'') was a football league in Portugal, situated at the fourth level of the Portuguese football league system. The Third Division was initially the third level of the Portuguese pyramid but with the creation of the Segunda Liga in 1990–91, it became the fourth level. ''Record'' is a Portuguese sports newspaper, founded by Manuel Dias, published in Lisbon. Although it covers most sports, football is the focal point of it, and almost always is the only sport referred to on the cover. History and profile ''Record'' was founded by Manuel Dias. Ricardo André de Pinho Sousa (born 11 January 1979) is a Portuguese football manager and former player who played as an attacking midfielder. He amassed Primeira Liga totals of 154 matches and 47 goals over seven seasons, representing in the competition Porto, Beira-Mar, Santa Clara, Belenenses and Boavista.
