Růžena Zátková
Růžena Zátková (15 March 1885 - 29 October 1923), also called Rougina Zatkova, was a painter and sculptor who has been regarded as the "only authentic Czech Futurism, futurist." As a result of her Bohemian heritage and her decade-long residency in Rome, Růžena Zátková became an important artistic link between Russian Futurism, Russian and Italian Futurism. Zátková is considered one of the pioneers of kinetic art. Biography Born in 1885 to an upper-middle class family in Bohemia, Růžena Zátková was one of five sisters. Her mother, an accomplished pianist, encouraged her five daughters to pursue education in the arts. Zátková studied music in Prague and also studied under the painter Antonín Slavíček at his private school. She later attended drawing classes in Munich. Léon Bakst (russian: Леон (Лев) Николаевич Бакст, Leon (Lev) Nikolaevich Bakst) – born as Leyb-Khaim Izrailevich (later Samoylovich) Rosenberg, Лейб-Хаим Израилевич (Самойлович) Розенберг (27 January (8 February) 1866 – 28 December 1924) was a Russian painter and scene and costume designer of Jewish origin. He was a member of the Sergei Diaghilev circle and the Ballets Russes, for which he designed exotic, richly coloured sets and costumes. He designed the décor for such productions as ''Carnaval'' (1910), ''Spectre de la rose'' (1911), ''Daphnis and Chloe'' (1912), ''The Sleeping Princess'' (1921) and others.
