Røvik Church
Røvik Church ( no, Røvik kyrkje) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Molde Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located in the village of Røvika. It is an annex church for the ''Røvik og Veøy'' parish which is part of the Molde domprosti (arch-deanery) in the Diocese of Møre. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in the Swiss chalet style in 1905 by the architect Gabriel Smith. The church seats about 200 people. History Prior to the 20th century, the Bolsøy Church served most of the area around what is now the town of Molde. The church sat on the island of Bolsøya. By the 1890s, discussions were had on moving the church to the mainland. Eventually, it was decided to build two new churches, a new Røbekk Church on the mainland north of the island of Bolsøya and another new church at Røvika to serve the mainland to the southeast of the island of Bolsøya. Molde () is a town and municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Romsdal. It is located on the Romsdal Peninsula, surrounding the Fannefjord and Moldefjord. Tresfjord
Tresfjord is former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1899 until its dissolution in 1964. It encompassed about in the southern part of the present-day Vestnes Municipality. The municipality included the Skorgedalen valley and the area surrounding both sides of the southern half of the Tresfjorden. The village of Tresfjord was the administrative centre of the municipality, and it was the location of Tresfjord Church, the main church for the municipality. History The municipality of ''Sylte'' was established on 1 January 1899 when it was separated from Vestnes Municipality. The initial population was 1,408. Bolsøya
Bolsøya is an island in Molde Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The island lies in the Romsdalsfjorden at the entrance to the Fannefjorden. The island is connected to the mainland by the Bolsøy Bridge and to the town of Molde by the Fannefjord Tunnel, both on County Road 64. The island is unique due to its finger-shaped peninsula that is only wide at its widest. The Molde archipelago lies just to the west of the island and the islands of Sekken and Veøya lie about to the south. The island was in the former municipality of Bolsøy prior to its merger into Molde Municipality. The historic site of Bolsøy Church was on this island, but the church was moved to Røbekk on the mainland and the old church was torn down in 1906.
