Río Bueno is a city and commune in southern Chile administered by the Municipality of Río Bueno. It is located in Ranco Province in Los Ríos Region. Río Bueno takes its name from the Bueno River which flows through the city and commune. Rio Bueno is one of the better rivers to fish. Demographics According to the 2002 census of the National Statistics Institute, Río Bueno spans an area of and has 32,627 inhabitants (16,418 men and 16,209 women). Of these, 15,054 (46.1%) lived in urban areas and 17,573 (53.9%) in rural areas. Between the 1992 and 2002 censuses, the population fell by 1.1% (354 persons). Paillaco is a city and commune in southern Chile. It is located in Valdivia Province of Los Ríos Region, and is about 48 km southeast of Valdivia. Demographics According to the 2002 census of the National Statistics Institute, Paillaco spans an area of and has 19,237 inhabitants (9,620 men and 9,617 women). La Unión, Chile
La Unión is a city and commune of the Ranco Province in the Los Ríos Region in Chile. It is situated approximately 40 km north of Osorno and 80 km southeast of Valdivia. Covering an area of 2,136.7 km2, it has a population of 36,447, of which 25,615 are considered part of the urban population, according to the 2012 census. The commune derived its name from the confluence of the Llollelhue and Radimadi rivers. La Unión was founded in 1821 during the government of Bernardo O'Higgins, to secure sovereignty over the Central Valley south of Valdivia. It is a major centre for milk production; COLUN is the main milk and dairy product producer in the zone. Los Lagos () is a Chilean city and commune in Valdivia Province, Los Ríos Region. Panguipulli, Chile
Panguipulli ( ; Mapudungun for "hill of the puma") is a city and commune in Valdivia Province, southern Chile, administered by the Municipality of Panguipulli. It is located on the western edge of Panguipulli Lake, and is on a moraine in the Chilean Central Valley. Most of the commune lies on Andean mountains and valleys. History Panguipulli's first recorded inhabitants were indigenous Mapuches that lived along the shores of the main lakes and rivers of the region. The first mention of Panguipulli was in 1776. Guillermo Angermaier, who settled in the western shores of Panguipulli Lake in 1885, was the first non-indigenous person to settle in what is now the commune of Panguipulli.
