Hayashi Ryūkō
was a Japanese Neo-Confucian scholar, teacher and administrator in the system of higher education maintained by the Tokugawa ''bakufu'' during the Edo period. He was a member of the Hayashi clan of Confucian scholars. Academician Hōkō was the fourth Hayashi clan ''Daigaku-no-kami'' of the Edo period. Hōkō is known as the second official rector of the Shōhei-kō. This academy would come to be known as the Yushima Seidō) . This institution stood at the apex of the country-wide educational and training system which was created and maintained by the Tokugawa shogunate. Ryuko Hira (比良 竜虎) (born 30 May 1948) is a prominent Indian investor, is President of HMI Hotel Group and Ora Group of companies Japan, engaged in investment, ownership, and development of real estate, hospitality and tourism projects in railways, airports, seaports, and public transportation located in 31 cities in Japan. Ryuko Kawaji
was the pen-name of Kawaki Makoto, a Japanese poet and literary critic active during the Shōwa period of Japan. His Dharma name was Onyōin Metsuyo Chitoku Ryūkō Daikoji (温容院滅与知徳柳虹大居士). Biography Kawaji was born in Tokyo, and was a graduate of the Japanese Painting School of the Tokyo School of the Arts (present day Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music). However, rather than to pursue a career as an artist, he chose to become a writer of free verse poetry instead. His poetry was influential, as it was among the first to be written in the modern Japanese language. He won the Japan Art Academy literary award in 1957 for his anthology ''Nami'' ("Waves"). He was co-author of "Histoire de la Littérature Japonaise", written in collaboration with K. Matsuo and Alfred Smoular (Paris, 1935). His grave is at the Tama Reien outside of Tokyo. Ryūkō Gō
Ryūkō Gō (born 26 May 1968 as Luis Gō Ikemori) is a former sumo wrestler from São Paulo, Brazil. Career As a youth he did judo, turning to sumo at age 16. At age 18 he went to Japan and won an international tournament, and in 1990 competing for Takushoku University he became the first Brazilian to win the Japanese National Collegiate Sumo Championship. He turned professional in May 1992, joining the Tamanoi stable. He was the first foreign wrestler ever to be granted ''makushita tsukedashi'' status, meaning that because of his amateur sumo achievements he could start at the bottom of the third highest ''makushita'' division. Ryūko Seihō
was a sumo wrestler with the Hanakago beya, an actor and a celebrity in Japan. He was born in Ōta, Tokyo. His highest rank in sumo was ''komusubi''. Sumo Career Ryūko made his tournament debut in the January 1957 ''basho''. He reached the '' juryō'' division in March 1967, and ''makuuchi'' in March 1968. The following year, he defeated ''yokozuna'' Taihō, scoring the first of his two ''kinboshi''. He was a runner-up in three top division tournaments, in March 1969, November 1969 and September 1970.
