Rythm Syndicate (album)
''Rythm Syndicate'' is the full-length debut album released by the dance-rock band Rythm Syndicate, the group formed by songwriter-producers Carl Sturken and Evan Rogers. It was released in 1991 on Impact, a subsidiary of MCA, and produced (and mostly written) by Sturken/Rogers. Three singles were released: "P.A.S.S.I.O.N." charted on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, peaking at number 2, while the opening track "Hey Donna" peaked just outside the top 10, reaching number 13. The last single "Blinded By Love" (which is part two of the "Anatomy of a Love Affair" suite) peaked at number 76. Of the three singles released, only "P.A.S.S.I.O.N." charted in the UK, where it peaked at number 58. In the liner notes, Rogers and Sturken thank Donny Osmond; they worked with him on his 1990 Capitol debut and its follow-up. Rythm Syndicatethe official and purposely misspelled version of the band name, used on their albums, singles, and publicity material, spelled "rhythm" without the first "h". is an R&B group from Connecticut, United States consisting of singer Evan Rogers, guitarist/keyboardist Carl Sturken, second guitarist Mike McDonald (also handling backing vocals), bassist John Nevin, saxophonist Rob Mingrino, and drummer Kevin Cloud. Rogers and Sturken were already well-established producers and songwriters, having helmed many well-received albums during the mid to late-1980s, with Rogers having also released sporadic solo albums during the decade. The group had two hits in 1991: "P.A.S.S.I.O.N.", which reached number 2 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and "Hey Donna", which attained number 13. ''Eyes Don't Lie'' is a full-length album by Donny Osmond, his eleventh solo studio album. Released on 30 October 1990 on the Capitol label, it peaked at 177 on the Billboard 200 album chart. The album featured three singles, two of which made Billboard's Hot 100 chart: "My Love Is a Fire, My Love Is A Fire" that reached number 21 and "Sure Lookin'" that reached number 54. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Trumpet
The trumpet is a brass instrument commonly used in classical and jazz ensembles. The trumpet group ranges from the piccolo trumpet—with the highest register in the brass family—to the bass trumpet, pitched one octave below the standard B or C trumpet. Paul Joseph Peterson (born October 18, 1964), also known as St. Paul Peterson, is a singer and musician best known for his memberships in the bands The Family and The Time. Life and career Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Peterson was the youngest son in a musical family. He was discovered by Prince in 1983 and groomed to replace Monte Moir as keyboardist of R&B band The Time. Peterson gained exposure when the band appeared in the hit movie '' Purple Rain''. When The Time broke up in 1984, Prince gathered the remnants to form The Family, with Peterson as lead singer. "Soldier of Love" is a 1988 song by American singer Donny Osmond, which became his comeback hit. It first was a Top 30 hit in the UK in 1988 and "Soldier of Love" reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1989, behind Michael Damian's " Rock On" Background The track was not initially released in the US as Osmond did not have a record deal there. However, a cassette of the song from a British import was sent by an Osmond fan to Jessica Ettinger, the acting Program Director and Music Director at ABC's WPLJ-FM New York. Ettinger liked the song but was concerned that Osmond, a former child star, wouldn't be accepted by the current pop audience.
