Rysy (; ; german: Meeraugspitze, hu, Tengerszem-csúcs) is a mountain in the crest of the High Tatras, eastern part of the Tatra Mountains, lying on the border between Poland and Slovakia. Rysy has three summits: the middle at ; the north-western at ; and the south-eastern at . The north-western summit is the highest point of Poland and belongs to the Crown of Polish Mountains; the other two summits are on the Slovak side of the border. Czarny Staw Pod Rysami
Czarny Staw pod Rysami (Black Lake below Mount Rysy) is a mountain lake on the Polish side of Mount Rysy in the Tatra mountains. At 1,583 m above sea level, it overlooks the nearby lake of Morskie Oko. Its maximum depth is 76 m. A walking path circumnavigates the lake, and leads up to Mount Rysy, or down to Morskie Oko. To get to Czarny Staw from Morskie Oko you must follow the red trail on the Eastern side of Morskie Oko. Once you have reached about half-way you will see a signpost that has directions on how to get to Czarny Staw. After crossing the rocky inclined path, you will arrive at Czarny Staw. The trip takes about 50 mins going up from Morskie Oko and 40 mins going back down. Morskie Oko
Morskie Oko, or Eye of the Sea in English, is the largest and fourth-deepest lake in the Tatra Mountains, in southern Poland. It is located deep within the Tatra National Park in the Rybi Potok (the Fish Brook) Valley, of the High Tatras mountain range at the base of the Mięguszowiecki Summits, in Lesser Poland Voivodeship. In 2014, ''The Wall Street Journal'' recognized the lake as one of the five most beautiful lakes in the world. Crown Of Polish Mountains
Crown of Polish Mountains – a list of 28 peaks one per each of the mountain ranges of Poland. It was suggested by geographer, traveller and writer and dr Wojciech Lewandowski in the tourism and local lore magazine '. The list was on December 12, 1997 at a meeting convened by the editors of ''Know Your Country'' and at the same time the Club of the Conquerors of the Crown of Polish Mountains was inaugurated. The original idea was to be a list containing the highest peak of each range. However it was decided to consider only most prominent peaks which had a marked hiking trail at the time of the compiling of the list. In addition, the authors made several significant mistakes in the selection of peaks, e.g. by omitting some mountain ranges in the rank of a mesoregion, and placing others in the rank of a microregion.
