Ryo Sugimoto
Ryo Sugimoto is President and Representative director of ROJI Co., Ltd. born in 1976, he studied under production designers Yohei Taneda and Mitsuo Hamada, Mitsuo Harada as an art assistant. He Joined NOUVELLE VAGUE Co., Ltd. in 2005, and working as an art designer for Aegis, AEGIS (2005) and Tokyo Tower: Mom and Me, and Sometimes Dad (2007). He was an art director for Babel (film), BABEL (2007), directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu, which won the 59th Artistic Directors Society Award for production design in 2007. In the same year, he participated in Chameleon (2008), directed by Junji Sakamoto, as the first production designer. Since then, he has worked as a production designer for Map of the Sounds of Tokyo, Map of the sounds of Tokyo (2008), directed by Isabel Coixet, Isabelle Coixet, among others. ''Map of the Sounds of Tokyo'' ( es, Mapa de los sonidos de Tokio, ca, Mapa dels sons de Tòquio) is a 2009 Spanish drama film directed by Isabel Coixet. Plot The movie begins with Mr. Nagara, a wealthy CEO, complaining to his loyal assistant, Ishida, that he does not like the way he has to entertain the people he is signing a contract with.
