Ryan Sears
Ryan Joseph Sears (born 30 December 1998) is a Welsh footballer who plays as a right back for Cymru Premier club Newtown. Sears came through the youth academy at Shrewsbury Town playing seven times for the club in EFL League One. He also spent time on loan with Welsh side Newtown as well as two separate spells with AFC Telford United before signing for Grimsby Town in June 2021 ahead of the 2021–22 season. Sears was called up to the Wales under-21 side in 2019 but failed to win a cap. Career Shrewsbury Town Born in Newtown, Powys, Wales, Sears was a youth player at Shrewsbury Town and scored twice to help them to the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup in 2016–17, while also being an unused substitute for the senior team in EFL League One three times around the turn of the year. Newtown, Powys
Newtown ( cy, Y Drenewydd) is a town in Powys, Wales. It lies on the River Severn in the community of Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn, within the historic boundaries of Montgomeryshire. It was designated a new town in 1967 and saw population growth as firms settled, changing its market town character. Its 2001 population of 10,780 rose to 11,357 at the 2011 census. Anterior Cruciate Ligament
The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is one of a pair of cruciate ligaments (the other being the posterior cruciate ligament) in the human knee. The two ligaments are also called "cruciform" ligaments, as they are arranged in a crossed formation. In the quadruped stifle joint (analogous to the knee), based on its anatomical position, it is also referred to as the cranial cruciate ligament. The term cruciate translates to cross. This name is fitting because the ACL crosses the posterior cruciate ligament to form an “X”. It is composed of strong, fibrous material and assists in controlling excessive motion. This is done by limiting mobility of the joint. The 2019–20 National League season, known as the Vanarama National League for sponsorship reasons, was the fifth season under English football's new title of National League, the sixteenth season consisting of three divisions, and the forty-first season overall. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the National League season was initially suspended on 16 March 2020 until at least 3 April. AFC Telford United
AFC Telford United is a football club based in Telford, Shropshire, England. The club was formed in 2004 after the original Telford United, founded in 1872, folded due to financial problems. Currently members of the National League North, they play home matches at the New Bucks Head in Wellington, part of the new town of Telford. The club's colours are white and black. History Telford United experienced severe financial difficulties towards the end of the 2003–04 season while playing in the Football Conference following the collapse of the Miras Contracts business of chairman and sole shareholder Andy Shaw. The 2017–18 Welsh Premier League was the 26th season of the Welsh Premier League, the highest football league within Wales since its establishment in 1992. The New Saints are the defending champions.
