Ryan Millar (born 12 May 1994) is a British professional rugby league footballer who plays on the for the Sheffield Eagles in the Betfred Championship. Background Millar was born in Biederfeld, Germany but brought up in Birmingham, England. He trained as an Architect in Sheffield. Playing career Sheffield Eagles Millar is a graduate of the Sheffield Eagles Academy system He made his professional debut for the Eagles on 26 June 2015 in a 14 points to 22 away triumph at London Broncos, he scored two consecutive tries in 5 minutes to put his team 10–6 in front just after the half-time break. Millar made his home debut against Hull Kingston Rovers in The Qualifiers at Bramall Lane. This time he scored a hat-trick in a 28–38 loss. Bielefeld () is a city in the Ostwestfalen-Lippe Region in the north-east of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The 2016 Rugby Football League Championship, known as Kingstone Press Championship due to sponsorship by Kingstone Press Cider, was a rugby league football competition played in the UK, one tier below the first tier Super League. The 2016 season was the second to consist of a new structure combining the championship and super league divisions three quarters of the way through the season. The Championship, known as the Betfred Championship for sponsorship reasons, is a professional rugby league competition. It is the Rugby Football League Championship Second Division, second-tier competition organised by the Rugby Football League, the governing body for the sport in England, and consists of 14 teams, with promotion to the Super League and relegation to the third-tier competition, RFL League 1, League One. The league announced a two-year sponsorship deal with the bookmaking company Betfred ahead of the 2018 RFL Championship, 2018 season. The 1895 Cup is a British rugby league competition for clubs in the Rugby League Championships. History There have been many cup competitions for the lower leagues of rugby league. In 2002 the Championship Cup was founded for Championship (rugby league), Championship and League 1 (rugby league), League 1 clubs to compete in along with the Challenge Cup, with the aim to give the lower league clubs a competition they can realistically win. The Championship Cup folded in 2013 in anticipation for the 2015 league restructuring. There was no replacement for Championship clubs, though the League 1 Cup ran from 2015-2017 for teams from that league. Oldham is a large town in Greater Manchester, England, amid the Pennines and between the rivers Irk and Medlock, southeast of Rochdale and northeast of Manchester.
