Ryan McBean
Ryan McBean (born April 22, 1984) is a former American football defensive end. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football at Oklahoma State. McBean also played for the Denver Broncos, Baltimore Ravens and Arizona Cardinals. Early years McBean graduated from Trinity High School (Euless, Texas) in 2003. There he earned first-team All-District honors after his senior season, Ryan was named the District Defensive Most Valuable Player, and received first-team All-District, The First Team Of the Decade, and All-Area honors from the Dallas Morning News. College career McBean played at Hinds Community College in Mississippi for the 2003 and 2004 seasons before transferring to play college football at Oklahoma State in 2005 and 2006. Trinity High School (also known as Euless Trinity in sports) is a public high school in Euless, Texas. The school serves grade levels 10–12 and is a part of the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District. Joshua Thomas McDaniels (born April 22, 1976) is an American football head coach for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He began his NFL career in 2001 with the New England Patriots, where he served as the offensive coordinator for 14 non-consecutive seasons. During McDaniels' first stint as offensive coordinator from 2006 to 2008, New England set the season record for points scored and became the first team to win all 16 regular season games in 2007. In his second stint from 2012 to 2021, the Patriots won three Super Bowl titles in Super Bowl XLIX, Super Bowl LI, and Super Bowl LIII. McDaniels was also among the Patriots personnel to be present for all six of their titles during the Brady–Belichick era. In sports, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style. Because the players on the practice squad are familiar with the team's plays and formations, the practice squad serves as a way to develop inexperienced players for promotion to the main roster. This is particularly important for professional gridiron football teams, which do not have formal minor league farm team affiliates to train players.
