Ryan Gibbons (cyclist)
Ryan Gibbons (born 13 August 1994) is a South African cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Prior to starting his road racing career at junior level, Johannesburg-born Gibbons competed in mountain bike racing. He was named in the start list for the 2017 Giro d'Italia. Gibbons won the first stage of the first-ever Virtual Tour de France on 4 July 2020. The following month, he was named in the startlist for the Tour de France. In October 2020, Gibbons signed a two-year contract with , from the 2021 season. He qualified to represent South Africa at the 2020 Summer Olympics. 2020 Tour De France
The 2020 Tour de France was the 107th edition of the Tour de France, one of cycling's three Grand Tour (cycling), Grand Tours. Originally scheduled to start on 27 June 2020, it was postponed until 29 August 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic in France. The race began in Nice on 29 August and concluded with its traditional run on the Champs-Élysées stage in the Tour de France, Champs-Élysées on 20 September. A total of 176 riders from 22 Cycling team, teams participated in the race. 2017 Giro D'Italia
The 2017 Giro d'Italia was the 100th edition of the Giro d'Italia, one of cycling's Grand Tour races. The race started on 5 May in Alghero on the island of Sardinia, and ended on 28 May in Milan. The race was won by Tom Dumoulin, who became the first Dutch male winner of the Giro. Teams All 18 UCI WorldTeams were automatically invited and were obliged to attend the race. The 2019 Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race was a road cycling one-day race that took place on 27 January 2019 in Geelong, Australia. It was the fifth edition of the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race and the second event of the 2019 UCI World Tour. 2018 runner-up Elia Viviani, from Italy, improved upon that position, as the rider led home a 33-rider group at the finish to take the victory, ahead of the highest-placed Australian rider Caleb Ewan (). The Coppa Bernocchi is a European bicycle race held in Legnano, Italy. Since 2005, the race has been organised as a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. The 947 Ride Joburg (formally known as the ''94.7 cycle challenge)'' is the world's second-largest timed cycle race, after the Cape Argus Cycle Race. It is held annually on ''cycle challenge Sunday'', the third Sunday of November in the South African city of Johannesburg.
