Ryan Dow
Ryan Dow (born 7 June 1991) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a midfielder or forward for Scottish Championship club Arbroath. A product of the Dundee United youth system, he turned professional in 2007. After making his first team debut in 2011, he went on to become a first team regular after a spell on loan to Forfar Athletic. He left Dundee United in the 2016 close season and signed for Ross County in September. Dow moved to Peterhead during the 2018–19 season, initially on loan. In May 2019 he signed for Dunfermline Athletic. Early life Ryan Dow was born in Dundee on 7 June 1991. The Scottish Football League Second Division was the third tier of the Scottish football league system between 1975 and 2013. History The Second Division was created in 1975, as part of a wider reconstruction of the Scottish Football League (SFL). Prior to 1975, the SFL had been split into two divisions (Division One and Division Two). The effect of the reconstruction was to split these two divisions into three, with the top flight named the Premier Division, second tier the First Division, and a new third tier was created known as the Second Division. A fourth tier, known as the Third Division, was created in 1994. In 1998, the Premier Division clubs broke away from the SFL to form the Scottish Premier League (SPL). The 2014 Scottish Cup Final was the 129th final of the Scottish Cup, the most prestigious knockout football competition in Scotland. The match took place at Celtic Park on 17 May 2014 and was contested by St Johnstone and Dundee United. After winning the game 2–0, St Johnstone entered the 2014–15 UEFA Europa League in the Second Qualifying Round. Motherwell ( sco, Mitherwall, gd, Tobar na Màthar) is a town and former burgh in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, United Kingdom, south east of Glasgow. It has a population of around 32,120. Historically in the parish of Dalziel and part of Lanarkshire, Motherwell is the headquarters for North Lanarkshire Council.
