Rutger Backe
Rutger Backe (born 14 January 1951 in Falkenberg) is a Swedish former football player and coach. He started his career in local club IF Böljan. He joined Allsvenskan club Halmstads BK in 1972, with whom he played until 1981. Backe played 207 matches in the top league, scoring 77 goals. He was the Allsvenskan top scorer with 21 goals, when the club won its first ever Swedish national championship in 1976. Backe played 8 matches with the Swedish national team, scoring two goals. He trained Varbergs BoIS and Falkenbergs FF Falkenbergs Fotbollsförening, also known simply as Falkenbergs FF, Falkenberg or (especially locally) FFF, is a Swedish football club based in Falkenberg. Falkenberg
Falkenberg is a Urban areas in Sweden, locality and the seat of Falkenberg Municipality, Halland County, Sweden, with 27,813 inhabitants in 2019 (out of a municipal total of about 45,000). It is located at the mouth of river Ätran (river), Ätran. The name consists of the Swedish words for falcon (''falk'') and mountain (''berg''). Falkenberg is a popular tourist destination in the summers, and the main beach of the town is Skrea strand. History In the early part of the 13th century the Danish king built a Falkenberg (fort), fort on the east shore of the river Ätran (river), Ätran, which eventually would give the town its name. The Sweden national football team has traditionally been a strong team in international football, with twelve World Cup appearances—collecting one silver and two bronze medals—and three medals in the Olympics, including one gold. Sweden played its first international game against Norway in 1908 and competed in an international tournament, the Summer Olympics, for the first time the same year. Since then, Sweden has regularly qualified for the World Cup and the Olympics as well as the European Championships.
