Rutford Ice Stream
Rutford Ice Stream () is a major Antarctic ice stream, about long and over wide, which drains southeastward between the Sentinel Range, Ellsworth Mountains and Fletcher Ice Rise into the southwest part of Ronne Ice Shelf. Named by US-ACAN for geologist Robert Hoxie Rutford, a member of several USARP expeditions to Antarctica; leader of the University of Minnesota Ellsworth Mountains Party, 1963-1964. Rutford served as Director of the Division of Polar Programs, National Science Foundation, 1975-1977. The ice stream is situated in a deep trough which is a tectonic feature between the Ellsworth Mountains and the Fletcher Promontory. Because of this the ice stream position may have been stable for millions of years. The bed of the ice stream reaches below sea level. Newcomer Glacier
Newcomer Glacier () is a glacier long transecting the north part of the Sentinel Range, flowing from the vicinity of Allen Peak southeast between Gromshin Heights and the main ridge of range, and then east between Gromshin Heights and Sostra Heights to where it leaves the Sentinel Range north of Bracken Peak and south of Foros Spur. Gabare Glacier
Gabare Glacier ( bg, ледник Габаре, lednik Gabare, ) is the long and wide glacier in Petvar Heights on the southeast side of Sentinel Range in Ellsworth Mountains, Antarctica situated northwest of Divdyadovo Glacier, northeast of the head of Carey Glacier, and southeast of Drama Glacier. It is flowing eastwards to leave the range east-southeast of Long Peak. The feature is named after the settlement of Gabare in northwestern Bulgaria. Location Gabare Glacier is centred at . Drama Glacier
Drama Glacier ( bg, ледник Драма, lednik Drama, ) is the 10 km long and 1.5 km wide glacier in Petvar Heights on the east side of southern Sentinel Range in Ellsworth Mountains, Antarctica, which is situated north of Carey Glacier and Gabare Glacier, east of the east-northeast ridge of Mount Landolt, and south of Razboyna Glacier. It is draining east-northeastwards to join Rutford Ice Stream northeast of Long Peak. The glacier is named after the settlement of Drama in Southeastern Bulgaria. Razboyna Glacier ( bg, ледник Разбойна, lednik Razboyna, ) is the long and wide glacier in Petvar Heights on the southeast side of Sentinel Range in Ellsworth Mountains, Antarctica situated north of Drama Glacier, east of Kornicker Glacier, and south of the lower course of Thomas Glacier. It is draining the north slopes of Bagra Peak, and flowing northeastwards to leave the range north of Long Peak. Thomas Glacier
Thomas Glacier () is a roughly Z-shaped glacier which drains the southeast slopes of Vinson Massif and flows for 17 nautical miles (31 km) through the south part of the Sentinel Range, Ellsworth Mountains, leaving the range between Doyran and Petvar Heights south of Johnson Spur. The glacier was discovered by U.S. Navy Squadron VX-6 on photographic flights of December 14–15, 1959, and mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from the photos. It was named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for R. Admiral Charles W. Thomas, USCG, veteran of Antarctic expeditions in the 1950s. Remington Glacier is a steep glacier about long in Doyran Heights in the Sentinel Range of Ellsworth Mountains, Antarctica. It rises just north of McPherson Peak and flows east-southeast to debouch between the terminus of Hough Glacier and Johnson Spur. Hough Glacier () is a glacier in central Doyran Heights in the Sentinel Range of Ellsworth Mountains, Antarctica, rising just south of Mount Tuck and flowing east-southeast for between Guerrero Glacier and Remington Glacier. It was first mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1957–59, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for William S. Hough, who made ionosphere studies at South Pole Station in 1957. Lardeya Ice Piedmont ( bg, ледник Лардея, lednik Lardeya, ) is the glacier extending in north-south direction and in east-west direction on the east side of Sentinel Range in Ellsworth Mountains, Antarctica. It is draining the northeast slopes of Flowers Hills to flow into Rutford Ice Stream to the east-northeast and Ellen Glacier to the north. Ellen Glacier
The Ellen Glacier is a glacier in the central Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains of Antarctica. It drains the eastern slopes of Mount Anderson and Long Gables and flows generally southeast for to Barnes Ridge, where it leaves the range and enters the south flowing Rutford Ice Stream. It was first mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1957–59, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Lieutenant Colonel Cicero J. Ellen of the U.S. Air Force, who was in command of many of the air operations when the South Pole Station was established by air drop in the 1956–57 season. Ranuli Ice Piedmont ( bg, ледник Ранули, lednik Ranuli, ) is the glacier extending in south-southeast to north-northwest direction and in west-southwest to east-northeast direction on the east side of Sentinel Range in Ellsworth Mountains, Antarctica. It is draining the east slopes of Barnes Ridge to flow into Rutford Ice Stream to the east-northeast, Young Glacier to the north, and Ellen Glacier to the south.
