Rustomji Bomanji Billimoria
Rustomji Bomanji Billimoria was an Indian physician, social worker, and the founder of ''Bel-Air Hospital'', a tuberculosis sanatorium at Panchgani, a hill station in Maharashtra. Born on 13 May 1882 in Mumbai to Bomanji Jamshedji Billimoria as the youngest of his four children, Billimoria took up medicine as his profession and, in 1912, established a sanatorium for treating tuberculosis at Dalkeith in Panchgani. The facility has grown over the years to become a 250-bedded healthcare centre and is managed by Indian Red Cross Society. He was married to Gulestan Rustom Billimoria, a known social worker and a Padma Bhushan recipient. Ghulam Mohammad Baksh Butt (22 May 1878 – 23 May 1960), commonly known as ''Rustam-e-Hind'' (Hindi-Urdu for ''Rostam of Hindostan'') and by the ring name The Great Gama, was a pehlwani wrestler and strongman in British India. In the early 20th century, he was an undefeated wrestling champion of India . Born in the village of Jabbowal, Amritsar District in the Punjab Province of British India in 1878, Baksh was awarded a version of the World Heavyweight Championship on 15 October 1910. Undefeated in a career spanning more than 52 years, he is considered one of the greatest Indian wrestlers of all time. Rustomjee Jivanji Ghorkhodu (1861 – 14 November 1924), commonly known as Parsee Rustomjee, and by various orthographic variations including Parsi Rustomji and affectionately referred to as Kakaji, was an Indian-South African philanthropist and businessman, well known for his close mentorship, guidance and financial sponsorship of Mahatma Gandhi during his time in South Africa from 1893 to 1914.
