Russkies
''Russkies'' is a 1987 American comedy-drama film starring Whip Hubley and Leaf Phoenix, directed by Rick Rosenthal with cinematography by Reed Smoot. Plot A few nights before Independence Day, three 12-year old military brats (Danny, Adam, and Jason) gather in a Key West bedroom reading their favorite comic book, Sgt. Slammer. Meanwhile, a Soviet warship is anchored just off the coast. Intelligence officer Sulock ignores the captain and drags Mischa Pushkin and Boris into a raft to row ashore and accept a prototype surveillance device from a U.S. turncoat. The raft capsizes, and Mischa washes ashore. The next morning, Danny, Adam, and Jason set out in their motorboat for their hideout. Along the way, they find a Russian-language codebook and the wrecked raft with Russian lettering. Adam and Jason head back to the city and leave Danny to secure their bunker. Whip Hubley
Grant Shelby Hubley Jr., known as Whip Hubley, is an American actor. Early life and education Hubley was born in New York City, the son of Julia Kaul (née Paine) and Grant Shelby Hubley, an entrepreneur, oil investor, and writer. He attended the Buckley School for Boys in Upper East Side, Manhattan. As a resident of Montclair, New Jersey he attended Montclair Academy which then became part of Montclair Kimberley Academy, graduating in 1975. He is the brother of actress Season Hubley, also the former brother-in-law of Kurt Russell, and uncle of Season and Kurt's son, Boston Russell. Career He played the role of Mischa in the 1987 film ''Russkies'', and Hollywood in the 1986 film ''Top Gun''. Peter Billingsley
Peter Billingsley (born April 16, 1971), also known as Peter Michaelsen and Peter Billingsley-Michaelsen, is an American actor and filmmaker. His acting roles include Ralphie Parker in the 1983 movie ''A Christmas Story'' and its 2022 sequel '' A Christmas Story Christmas'', Jack Simmons in ''The Dirt Bike Kid'', Billy in ''Death Valley'', and Messy Marvin in a series of commercials for Hershey's Syrup in the 1980s.
