The Russian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship (russian: Чемпионат России по кёрлингу среди смешанных пар, Первенство России по кёрлингу среди смешанных пар, Чемпионат России по кёрлингу в дисциплине дабл-микст) are the annual national curling championships for mixed doubles curling in Russia. As of 2024, the event consisted of thirty-two teams participating in a preliminary round robin and a single-knockout playoff. Petr Dmitrievich Dron (russian: Пётр Дмитриевич Дрон; born 28 August 1985 in Saint Petersburg) is a Russian curler and curling coach. He lives in St. Petersburg. He competed at the 2013 World Curling Championships, and at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. He currently coaches the Russian men's junior team. Career Dron has been playing on curling competitions since 1996. He finished the Lesgaft National State University of Physical Education, Sport and Health. Andrey Anatolyevich Drozdov (russian: Андрей Анатольевич Дроздов; born 23 February 1988) is a Russian curler from Zelenograd. He skips one of the Russian national teams, and is the first Russian men's skip to ever play in the World Championships and first man to skip Russia at the Olympics. He is currently the coach of the Russian women's junior team. Career In his youth, Drozdov was a swimmer, but was unsuccessful, so he took up curling at age 15.
