Russell Howard
Russell Joseph Howard (born 23 March 1980) is an English comedian, television presenter, radio presenter, and actor. He was known for his television show ''Russell Howard's Good News'' and is currently doing ''The Russell Howard Hour'', and his appearances on the topical panel TV show ''Mock the Week''. He won "Best Compère" at the 2006 Chortle Awards and was nominated for an Edinburgh Comedy Award for his 2006 Aberdeen Festival Fringe show. Howard has cited comedians Lee Evans, Richard Pryor, and Frank Skinner as influences. Early life Howard was born in Bath to Dave and Ninette Howard. He has two younger siblings, twins Kerry and Daniel (born 1982). Daniel has epilepsy, to which Howard sometimes refers during his act. Queensland Performing Arts Centre
The Queensland Performing Arts Centre (also known as QPAC) is part of the Queensland Cultural Centre and is located on the corner of Melbourne Street and Grey Street in Brisbane's South Bank, Queensland, South Bank precinct. Opened in 1985, it includes the Lyric Theatre, Concert Hall, Playhouse and Cremorne Theatre. Bedford Modern School (often called BMS) is a Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference independent school in Bedford, England. The school has its origins in Bedford Charity, The Harpur Trust, born from the financial endowment, endowments left by William Harpur, Sir William Harpur in the sixteenth century. BMS comprises a Preparatory school (UK), junior school (ages 6–11) and a senior school (ages 11–18). The school has had four names. In 1873 the school became Bedford Modern School to reflect its modern curriculum, providing an education for the professions. The Secret Policeman's Ball 2008 was a show in the '' Secret Policeman's Balls'' series of benefit shows for Amnesty International. In July 2008, Amnesty announced that it would present another show in its long-running series Like its 2006 predecessor the show was a single-night live event at London's Royal Albert Hall, on Saturday 4 October 2008. ''Live at the Apollo'' (formerly titled ''Jack Dee Live at the Apollo'') is a British stand-up comedy programme performed from the Apollo Theatre, West London. Despite the title, the programmes are recorded, not live. Jack Dee hosted the first two series and the opening show of the third series, performing a short segment before introducing a guest comedian. Until 2015, all episodes were broadcast on BBC One. The show moved to BBC Two in November 2015. The programme was renamed for its third series which was filmed over three evenings in October 2007. Andrew Collins (broadcaster)
Andrew Collins is an English writer and broadcaster. He is the creator and writer of the Radio 4 sitcom ''Mr Blue Sky''. His TV writing work includes ''EastEnders'' and the sitcoms ''Grass'' (which he co-wrote with Simon Day) and ''Not Going Out'' (which he initially co-wrote with Lee Mack). Collins has also worked as a music, television and film critic. Personal life Collins was briefly a member of the Labour Party between the late 1980s and early 1990s, leaving after Labour's defeat in the 1992 General Election.
