Russell Hitchcock (album)
''Russell Hitchcock'' is the self-titled debut album by Russell Hitchcock, best known as the lead singer of Air Supply, released in 1988. The album did not reach the charts, though singles "Someone Who Believes in You", "I Can't Believe My Eyes" and the covers " The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore", "What Becomes of the Brokenhearted" and " Where Did the Feeling Go?" had minor recognition. As a solo artist, Hitchcock would later release several more singles, the most famous being " Swear to Your Heart" from the film '' Arachnophobia''. Others include duets with Judith Durham from the ''I Am an Australian'' album, "De Todos Modos" with Ednita Nazario from the album ''Super Exitos'' (1991) and "Is It You" with Rita Coolidge (1995). Russell Charles Hitchcock (born 15 June 1949) is an Australian musician and lead vocalist of the soft rock duo Air Supply. Early life Born in Melbourne, Hitchcock attended South Brunswick State School, and later studied at Princes Hill High School in Carlton North. In 1965, he left school to work as a salesman. At that time, he played the drums and was the lead vocalist in a band called "19th Generation". At the age of 20, Hitchcock obtained a job at a computer company where he continued work for three years, before being promoted and transferred to Sydney. Career After meeting British musician Graham Russell in 1975 on the set of a production of ''Jesus Christ Superstar'', Air Supply was formed. ''Never Enough'' is the debut album by former Scandal (American band), Scandal singer Patty Smyth. It was released in 1987 on Columbia Records (also the group's label) three years after the band's breakup in 1984. Content On The Bloomberg Report, Smyth said the album "was never supposed to be a solo record; it was meant to be a record by Scandal Featuring Patty Smyth. George Merrill (born 10 January 1956) is an American songwriter whose work mostly dates from the mid- to late 1980s. He co-wrote " How Will I Know", which was a hit for Whitney Houston in 1986, as well as Houston's 1987 hit "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)". From the mid- to late 1980s to the present day, Merrill has been one half of vocal duo Boy Meets Girl, who are best remembered for the late-1988 hit " Waiting for a Star to Fall". Thomas F. Kelly (born April 16, 1952) is an American musician, best known for his songwriting partnership with Billy Steinberg. Steinberg and Kelly co-wrote numerous hit songs for popular music artists, including five number-one singles on the ''Billboard'' Top 100 chart in the 1980s.
