Russ Owen
Russ Owen is a fictional character in the Channel 4 soap opera, ''Hollyoaks'', played by Stuart Manning. He first appeared in the episode first broadcast on 22 August 2004 with the Owen family and has been involved in storylines including being diagnosed with testicular cancer and kidnapping his son Max McQueen (Gabriel Lawrence). It was announced in April 2009 that Manning had quit the role and Russ departed in the episode first broadcast on 3 June 2009. Nine years later, it was confirmed that Manning would reprise the role. Russ returned on 13 August 2018 and was killed off on 16 November 2018. Creation and development Regular auditions were held in 2004 for the part of Russ, with actor Stuart Manning securing the role. Stuart Manning
Stuart David Manning (born 27 May 1979) is an English actor and model. He is known for portraying the role of Russ Owen in the Channel 4 soap opera ''Hollyoaks'' from 2004 until 2009, and again in 2018. Career After leaving Art college where he studied Fine Art photography Manning joined Models One where he worked with photographer Bruce Weber on an Abercrombie and Fitch campaign. He also worked on many commercials including "Pepsi" directed by Michael Bay. Manning started his acting career in an ITV soap opera '' Night and Day'' playing Sam Armstrong. Manning won the 2002 British Soap Awards "Hero of the Year" award for that role. He played Mark Thompson in an episode of ''Holby City'' before joining the cast of ''Hollyoaks'' in 2004. Lucy Jane Allan (born 30 September 1978) is an English television producer, known for her work on the Channel 4 soap opera ''Hollyoaks''. Allan's other credited work include a script editor for ''Dream Team'' and assistant to director in '' Chica de Río''. ''Hollyoaks'' In 2008, Allan began working with Bryan Kirkwood as the deputy producer for ''Hollyoaks''. She was the assistant producer and producer for ''Hollyoaks spin-offs '' Hollyoaks: No Going Back'' and the first series of ''Hollyoaks Later''. Marcus Patric (born Patrick Henry Gosling on 17 August 1979 in Gosport, Hampshire) is an English actor. Hannah Ashworth (also Osborne) is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera ''Hollyoaks'', played by Emma Rigby. Hannah first appeared on-screen on 30 September 2005 and her last appearance was on 12 February 2010. Warren "Foxy" Fox (also known as Mike Jones) is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera ''Hollyoaks'', portrayed by Jamie Lomas.
