Russ McGinnis
Russell Brent McGinnis (born June 18, 1963) is an American former professional baseball catcher who played for two seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB). He played in 14 games for the Texas Rangers during the 1992 Texas Rangers season and three games for the Kansas City Royals during the 1995 Kansas City Royals season. Amateur career McGinnis attended Sooner High School in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He began his college baseball career with two seasons at Connors State College in Oklahoma. Bob Colon wrote in ''The Oklahoman'' in 1982 that Connors was "expected" to be selected in the January phase of the Major League Baseball draft but he was not. McGinnis next played for the Oklahoma Sooners. In two seasons, he slashed .356/.439/.595 with 25 home runs and 109 runs batted in. Catcher is a Baseball positions, position in baseball and softball. Bill Mooneyham
William Craig Mooneyham (August 16, 1960) was an American professional baseball pitcher for the Oakland Athletics of the Major League Baseball (MLB). Mooneyham attended Merced College. He was originally drafted in 1980 Major League Baseball draft in the 1st round (10th overall), and made his MLB debut on April 19, 1986 with Oakland. He played for only one season in the MLB, for which he was paid $60,000. A run batted in (RBI; plural RBIs ) is a statistic in baseball and softball that credits a batter for making a play that allows a run to be scored (except in certain situations such as when an error is made on the play). For example, if the batter bats a base hit which allows a teammate on a higher base to reach home and so score a run, then the batter gets credited with an RBI. Before the 1920 Major League Baseball season, runs batted in were not an official baseball statistic. Home Run
In baseball, a home run (abbreviated HR) is scored when the ball is hit in such a way that the batter is able to circle the bases and reach home plate safely in one play without any errors being committed by the defensive team. A home run is usually achieved by hitting the ball over the outfield fence between the foul poles (or hitting either foul pole) without the ball touching the field. Far less common is the "inside-the-park" home run where the batter reaches home safely while the baseball is in play on the field.
