"Run with the Lions" is a song by Lithuanian singer Jurij Veklenko (previously known as Jurijus). It represented Lithuania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. A revamped version of the song was released on 3 April 2019. It was performed during the second semi-final on 16 May 2019, and missed qualifying for the final by 1 point. Jurijus Veklenko
Jurijus Veklenko (born 6 July 1990 in Klaipėda), also known as Jurij Veklenko or simply Jurijus, is a Lithuanian singer. Eurovision Song Contest Veklenko previously performed at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 as one of the backing singers for Monika Linkytė and Vaidas Baumila in their performance of " This Time"; along with the three other backing singers, Jurijus took part in a same-sex kiss as part of the final performance. In 2017, Veklenko performed the main vocal for lip-sync drag-act Lolita Zero, in her Lithuanian national final entry "Get Frighten". Ashley Hicklin (born 1985) is an English singer, songwriter, and record producer. Eurovision Song Contest 2019
The Eurovision Song Contest 2019 was the 64th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Tel Aviv, Israel, following the country's victory at the 2018 contest with the song " Toy" by Netta. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation (IPBC/Kan), the contest was held at Expo Tel Aviv, and consisted of two semi-finals on 14 and 16 May, and a final on 18 May 2019. Lithuania participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "Run with the Lions" written by Ashley Hicklin, Eric Lumiere and Pele Loriano. The song was performed by Jurij Veklenko.
