Rui Almeida
Rui Miguel Garcia Lopes de Almeida (born 29 September 1969) is a Portuguese professional football manager. After working as an assistant to Jesualdo Ferreira, he worked mainly in France, with Bastia in Ligue 1 and four clubs in Ligue 2, as well as a brief spell in his country's Primeira Liga with Gil Vicente. Managerial career Almeida spent his early managerial career as an assistant at Estoril and Trofense. His first stint as a professional manager was with the Syria under-23 team in an attempt for qualification to the 2012 Summer Olympics. A polyglot (speaking Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, Arabic, English and French), he left Syria to become assistant manager to Jesualdo Ferreira at Panathinaikos, Sporting, Braga and Zamalek before managing again with Red Star in Ligue 2 in June 2015. The 2022–23 Ligue 2, commonly known as 2022–23 Ligue 2 BKT for sponsorship reasons, is the 84th season of Ligue 2. It began on 30 July 2022 and will conclude on 3 June 2023. The league will have a break from 12 November to 27 December due to the FIFA World Cup. Two clubs will be promoted to Ligue 1 at the end of the season as the number of clubs in Ligue 1 will be reduced from 20 to 18. As a result, no play-offs will be held at the end of the season. Vítor Manuel Oliveira (17 November 195328 November 2020) was a Portuguese Association football, football midfielder and Manager (association football), manager. In a managerial career spanning over 30 years, he won 11 promotions to the Primeira Liga, six as champion. Playing career Born in Matosinhos, Oliveira's senior career spanned 13 seasons, ten of which were spent in the Primeira Liga where he appeared in a total of 218 games, scoring 17 goals; he represented Leixões S.C., Leixões SC, F.C. Famalicão, S.C. Espinho, S.C. Braga and Portimonense S.C. at that level. In 1984–85 Primeira Liga, his last year as a professional, he played 23 matches (one goal) for the latter team as they finished fifth and 1985–86 UEFA Cup, qualified for the UEFA Europa League, UEFA Cup for the first and only time in their history.
