Rudolfine Steindling
Rudolfine Steindling (September 10, 1934 – October 27, 2012 in Tel Aviv) was an Austrian manager and political activist with close ties to Communist organizations. She is alleged by German authorities to have stolen 130 million Euro (240 million incl. interest as of 2012) from East German accounts in the 1990s that belonged to the German state after the reunification. Early life Rudolfine Steindling was married with Adolf Strindling a Hungarian-Jewish resistance fighter and book author ("Vienna France Vienna. The Story of a Jewish Refugee and Restinant", "Hitting back:an Austrian Jew in the French résistance"). Starting in 1959 she was a member of the Communist Party of Austria, her membership officially lasted only until 1969. The Communist Party of Austria (german: Kommunistische Partei Österreichs, KPÖ) is a communist party in Austria. Sonja Kohn
Sonja Kohn (née Türk; born 5 August 1948 in Vienna, Austria) is an Austrian banker. Biography Kohn was born to Jewish refugees from the Holocaust from Eastern Europe. She grew up in Vienna. In the 1970s, with her husband Erwin Kohn, she started an import-export business and moved to Milan, Italy. In the 1980s, she lived for a time in New York City and worked as a stockbroker for Merrill Lynch. In 1994, she founded the Bank Medici in Vienna. One year later, she moved to New York State. They lived in Monsey, a large, ultraorthodox Jewish community. The Kohns founded a small brokerage firm, the ''Eurovaleur Inc''. In New York City, she became known as "Austria’s woman on Wall Street." Kohn only got into investing after staying home to raise her five children. In the 1990s, they moved back to Vienna.
