Cec Ruddell
Cecil Alfred Ruddell (23 May 1917 – 10 December 1990) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Essendon in the Victorian Football League (VFL) during the 1940s. Ruddell was a key player in Essendon's defence in what was a strong decade for the club, just once in his nine seasons did they miss out on the finals. Usually a fullback, it was in that position that he played in the Bomber's 1942 and 1946 VFL premiership sides. Ruddell also played in Essendon's losing VFL grand finals in 1941, 1943, 1947 and the two 1948 grand finals! He filled in as coach of Essendon for a game in 1945 and another the following season. An ankle injury ended his VFL career. David Frederick Ruddell Wilson (1871–1957) was an Irish Anglican priest and hymnist. He was Dean of St. Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin in the Church of Ireland in the second quarter of the 20th century. Born into an ecclesiastical family, he was educated at Trinity College, Dublin. Ordained in 1895, his first position was as a curate at St. Ann's Belfast. He was Succentor and then Precentor of St. Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin until 1914 when he became Rector of Drumcondra. Gary Ruddell (born November 16, 1951 in San Mateo, California) is an American artist best known for his figurative representational paintings. As well as his illustrations for works of science fiction and fantasy literature. His cover artwork for Dan Simmons's novel '' Hyperion'' was nominated for the 1990 Hugo Award for Best Original Artwork. Early career and life Ruddell was raised in Northern California and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the California College of the Arts (1975). As a teen, Ruddell got his start being published in automotive magazines doing car cartoons and illustrations. After graduating from college, Ruddell began a career as a freelance illustrator. Some of Ruddell's clients include Bantam Books, Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, Avon Books, Ace Books, Ballantine Books and Baen Books. George Ruddell Black (1865 or 1866–1942) was a unionist politician in Northern Ireland. Black worked as a clothing manufacturer and was elected as an Ulster Unionist Party member of the Belfast Corporation. Isaac Ruddell
Captain Isaac Ruddell (1737-January 1812) was an 18th-century American Virginia State Line officer during the American Revolutionary War and a Kentucky frontiersman. He was an officer commanding a company under BGEN George Rogers Clark (1777–1782). He was the founder of Ruddell's Station, or fort, on the Licking River in present-day Harrison County, Kentucky. In 1780, during the Revolutionary War, the settlement was destroyed by joint British Canadian and Eastern Woodlands Indian forces under British officer Captain Henry Bird. He and his family were held prisoner in Detroit for over two years before their release. He was also a brother-in-law to Kentucky pioneers Isaac, Joseph and John Jacob Bowman. His grandson, John M.
