Ruch Chorzów () is a Polish association football club based in Chorzów, Upper Silesia. It is one of the most successful football teams in Poland: fourteen-time national champions, and three-time winners of the Polish Cup. Currently the team plays in the Polish Second Division. AKS Chorzów is a sports club based in Chorzów, Poland. It is one of the earliest sports organizations in Upper Silesia and is still well-known nationally for its football and handball teams. Ernest Otton Wilimowski (, born Ernst Otto Prandella; 23 June 1916 – 30 August 1997), nicknamed "Ezi", was a Association football, footballer who played as a Forward (association football), forward. He ranks among the best goalscorers in the history of both the Poland national football team, Poland national team and Polish club football. After re-taking German citizenship following the invasion of Poland, he also played for the Germany national football team, Germany national team. Wilimowski was the first player to score four goals in a single FIFA World Cup game. According to RSSSF, Wilimowski scored over 1077 total goals in at least 688 total matches, making him the 14th greatest goalscorer of all time. Gerard Wodarz
Gerard Wodarz (10 August 1913 – 8 November 1982) was one of the best football players of interwar Poland. He was a multiple champion of the country (representing Ruch Wielkie Hajduki, which in January 1939 became Ruch Chorzów) and also played 28 games on the Polish national football team, scoring 9 goals. Biography He was born in 1913 in Bismarckhütte (a settlement in Upper Silesia, which in January 1939 became part of the city of Chorzów), and died in 1982 in his hometown. Wodarz was a left-wing forward player. His career started in Ruch Wielkie Hajduki, in which he played in the years 1926-1939 and after the war, in 1946-47. Together with Ernest Wilimowski and Teodor Peterek, was part of one of the best forward formations in the history of Ruch. Teodor Peterek
Teodor Peterek (nicknames: ''Mietlorz'' and ''Teo''; 7 November 1910, in Świętochłowice – 12 January 1969, in Słupiec), was a Polish soccer player from the interwar period, forward, represented Ruch Chorzów and the Polish national team. He was born on 7 November 1910 in Schwientochlowitz, Germany, since 1920 Świętochłowice, and died on 12 January 1969 in Nowa Ruda. Life and career Peterek's career started in Śląsk Świętochłowice in 1925, and two years later moved to Ruch Chorzów for whom he debuted at a very early age. "Teo" was not even 18 years old, when he played in a 1928 game against ŁKS Łódź. The young forward's first game for Chorzów's side was very successful - he scored a goal. Edmund Giemsa
Edmund Giemza (Giemsa) (16 October 1912 – 30 September 1994) was a Polish interwar soccer player. He was born on 16 October 1912 in Upper Silesian city of Ruda Śląska and died on 30 September 1994 in Chinnor, England. Giemsa played for Ruch Chorzów as well as the Poland national team. With Ruch, he was a multiple champion of Poland (1933, 1934, 1935, 1936, 1938). On 4 June 1933 in Warsaw he debuted in Poland national team (Poland - Belgium 0-1). Altogether he played in 9 international games, without scoring any goals. The 1927 Liga was the 7th edition of the Polish Football Championship (6th completed season ended with the selection of a winner) and the 1st season of the Liga (now Ekstraklasa), the top Polish professional league for association football clubs. The league was operated by the ''Polska Liga Piłki Nożnej'' (PLPN). The champions were Wisła Kraków, who won their 1st Polish title. Competition modus The season started on 3 April 1927 and concluded on 13 November 1927 (spring-autumn league). The season was played as a round-robin tournament. The team at the top of the standings won the league title. A total of 14 teams participated. Each team played a total of 26 matches, half at home and half away, two games against each other team. Estonia National Football Team
The Estonia national football team ( et, Eesti jalgpallikoondis) represents Estonia in international football matches and is controlled by the Estonian Football Association, the governing body for football in Estonia. Estonia's home ground is Lilleküla Stadium in Tallinn. Estonia's first match was held against Finland in 1920, being a 6–0 defeat.
