Rubyworks Records is an independent record label and music management company created in 2001 by Niall Muckian and based in Dublin, Ireland. Rubyworks owns two subsidiary labels, Gotta Run Records and Model Citizen Records. In May 2012 Rubyworks merged with UK independent record label Ark Recordings. History Formation Rubyworks was formed by Niall Muckian in Dublin in 2001. Muckian was initially working with Damien Rice, helping him with the formation of his solo career when he saw Rodrigo y Gabriela supporting him at Vicar Street in Dublin. He decided he wanted to work with them. Rubyworks released '' re-Foc'' in September 2002, and continues to manage Rodrigo y Gabrela to this day. Over the course of the last fourteen years, Rubyworks has released albums with Irish artists like Hothouse Flowers, Sinead O’Connor, Mary Coughlan and Moving Hearts. Ryan Sheridan (musician)
Ryan Sheridan is an Irish singer, songwriter and guitarist from County Monaghan. Early life Sheridan started playing the fiddle at the age of seven and played Irish traditional music with Comhaltas for several years. At the age of 16 he left Ireland to perform as a dancer with the Riverdance ensemble. He toured the US with Riverdance for four years and then spent two years performing at the Gershwin Theatre on Broadway. Sheridan started writing music and playing guitar while living in New York City, and in 2004 Ryan moved to Glasgow to form the rockband Shiversaint. He returned to Ireland in 2006 and met Polish percussionist and cajon player Artur Graczyk who joined the band. When the band split, Sheridan took a two-year break from music to run a venue in his hometown of Monaghan. Rodrigo y Gabriela (Rodrigo and Gabriela) are a Mexican acoustic guitar duo whose music is influenced by a number of genres including nuevo flamenco, rock, and heavy metal. The duo's recordings consist largely of instrumental duets on the flamenco guitar. Currently residing in Mexico City, they began their career in Dublin, Ireland, during an eight-year stay. Koufax (band)
Koufax was an American indie rock band from Toledo, Ohio. The band's style of music was mainly characterized by piano-driven rock songs with guitar accompaniment. Quite frequently the band also included synthesizers. Later, the use of wind instruments increased. History Koufax were founded in 1998 (some sources also state that the band was founded in 1999). Hothouse Flowers
Hothouse Flowers are an Irish rock band that combine traditional Irish music with influences from soul, gospel, and rock. Formed in 1985 in Dublin, they started as street performers. Their first album, ''People'' (1988), was the most successful debut album in Irish history, reaching No. 1 in Ireland and No. 2 in the UK. After two more albums and extensive touring, the group separated in 1994. Since getting back together in 1998, the band members have been sporadically issuing new songs and touring, but also pursuing solo careers. Ark Recordings
Ark Recordings is a London-based independent record label, run by Jamie Davis (of Transcopic Records) and Russell Warby (VP of WME Agency UK, Music Power 1001). The label was launched in 2005 after Transcopic Records went on a hiatus, and Davis joined forces with Warby to create a cross-Atlantic signings imprint. It has since had releases by UK and international acts including Jamaican reggae artist Little Roy, New York based Alberta Cross, Turbo Fruits (feat. Re-Foc
''re-Foc'' is the first widely available album by Mexican guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela, released in 2002. Some songs are re-recorded versions of those that appeared on ''Foc'', a 9-track demo put together by the band in April/May 2001. The demo was "recorded at home, without microphones - everything was played through the guitar pick-ups. This meant that some of the percussion on the strings sounded very quiet"."2012 Irish Interview"

Mary Coughlan (born 5 May 1956) is an Irish singer, songwriter and actress. Background Mary Coughlan was born in Galway, Ireland. Her father was a soldier from County Donegal.
