RuPaul's Drag Race UK (series 2)
The second series of ''RuPaul's Drag Race UK'' began airing on 14 January 2021 on the BBC Three section of BBC iPlayer and WOW Presents Plus streaming service. The series was confirmed and casting was closed on 15 November 2019. Production was suspended mid 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic but resumed late 2020. The cast of 12 new queens was announced on 16 December 2020 and the series premiered on 14 January 2021. It was also announced a special episode ''RuPaul's Drag Race UK: Queens on Lockdown'' would air, following the queens during the first lockdown. This special episode was released on 12 February. The winner of the second series of ''RuPaul's Drag Race UK'' was Lawrence Chaney, with Bimini Bon-Boulash and Tayce as the runners-up. The ''United Kingdolls'' version of "UK Hun", which featured in the fifth episode of the series, reached number 27 in the Official UK Charts. George Ward (30 November 1993 – 18 September 2022), better known by the stage name Cherry Valentine, was an English drag queen and mental health nurse who is best known for competing in the second series of the television show ''RuPaul's Drag Race UK'' and for the BBC documentary '' Cherry Valentine: Gypsy Queen and Proud''. Career Ward, as his father had done, was expected to develop a career as a mechanic. Ward was introduced to Manchester's drag scene while studying mental health nursing at the University of Cumbria. After considering several names, he chose the moniker "Cherry Valentine" for his drag alter ego. Lawrence John Bolton (born 27 September 1990), better known by the stage name Tia Kofi, is a British drag queen from Clapham, South London. They are best known for competing on the second series of ''RuPaul's Drag Race UK''. Career Tia Kofi began their career as a drag queen in 2014, when they started drag on the same day and at the same venue as series 1 contestant Sum Ting Wong. Worksop ( ) is a market town in the Bassetlaw District in Nottinghamshire, England. He is best known for competing on the RuPaul's Drag Race UK (series 2), second series of ''RuPaul's Drag Race UK.'' Education Boyle studied for a diploma in womenswear and fashion at a college in Mansfield when he was 16, and graduated in 2013.
