Royal Windsor Roller Derby
Royal Windsor Roller Derby (RWRD) is a flat track roller derby league based in Berkshire, England. Founded in 2007 as Royal Windsor Roller Girls, RWRD was Berkshire's first roller derby league, and one of the first in the UK. The league trains in Ascot, Berkshire, Ascot and plays its home games at Windsor Leisure Centre. RWRD is a member of the United Kingdom Roller Derby Association (UKRDA) and the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). League Structure RWRD has two travel teams who compete with teams from other leagues: * Who Dares Windsor (A) * The B-Headers (B) There are also two intra-league teams. Windsor is a historic market town and unparished area in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in Berkshire, England. WFTDA Championships
The International Women's Flat Track Derby Association Championships ("WFTDA Championships" or "Champs" for short) are the leading competition for roller derby leagues. The Championships are organised by the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). They originated in 2006 as the National WFTDA Championship. The "Dust Devil" tournament was contested in front of several thousand fans in Tucson, Arizona. Bath Roller Derby is a roller derby league based in Bath, Somerset. Founded in 2012, the league plays to the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) ruleset. The league has been a member of the United Kingdom Roller Derby Association (UKRDA) since May 2015. League History The league was founded in 2012 by several local skaters as Bath Roller Derby Girls but rebranded in 2018 and dropped the 'Girls'. They held their first public session in September 2012 and henceforth began holding regular training sessions. Half a year later, the league held their second recruitment intake and numbers begun to increase with a third intake following in November of that year. Glasgow Roller Derby is a flat track roller derby league in Glasgow, Scotland. Founded in 2007, the league consists of two travel teams, three home teams and a skater training course for players and referees. Glasgow is a member of the United Kingdom Roller Derby Association (UKRDA), and the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). Nottingham Hellfire Harlots Roller Derby is a flat track roller derby league based in Nottingham, England. Founded in April 2010, the league has two travel teams who play against teams from other leagues. It is a member of the United Kingdom Roller Derby Association (UKRDA) and the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). History The league was founded in May 2010 by seven former members of the Nottingham Roller Derby. The main focus was to create a driven and, most importantly, competitive amateur sporting team. Seaside Siren Roller Girls
The Seaside Siren Roller Girls (SSRG) was a roller derby league based in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, in England. Founded in 2009, the league consists of two teams, which compete against teams from other leagues. Seaside is a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). History The league was founded in November 2009 by six skaters who had formerly skated with another league, but wanted to play closer to their home town. The league began practising on Canvey Island, and had fourteen skaters by early 2010. It played its first bout in April 2011, when it faced the Norfolk Brawds. In June 2012, the Seaside Sirens were accepted as a member of the United Kingdom Roller Derby Association, while in October 2013, they were accepted as a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association Apprentice Programme. Brighton Rockers Roller Derby (BRRD) is a flat track roller derby league based in Brighton in East Sussex, England. Founded in 2010, the league consists of three teams, which compete against teams from other leagues.
