Royal Thai Marine Corps March
Bhumibol Adulyadej (1927-2016), the late King of Thailand, had written more than 49 songs. His music is known in Thai as "Phleng Phra Ratcha Niphon" ( th, เพลงพระราชนิพนธ์; lit. "Royal Composition"). He was influenced by jazz, but also wrote music in other genre such as waltz, march, and classical music. In 1952, King Bhumibol Adulyadej composed the "Royal Marines March" ( th, มาร์ชราชนาวิกโยธิน), the official march of the Royal Thai Marine Corps. It was the 30th composition by the king. It was first performed on 7 June 1959, during the visit of the American 7th Fleet to Thailand. The late king also authored English lyrics to five of his songs – "Echo", "Still on My Mind", "Old-Fashioned Melody", "No Moon" and "Dream Island". Vajiralongkorn And Bhumibol Adulyadej 1964
Vajiralongkorn ( th, วชิราลงกรณ; , ; born 28 July 1952) is the King of Thailand. He is the only son of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit. In 1972, at the age of 20, he was made crown prince by his father. After his father's death on 13 October 2016, he was expected to ascend to the throne of Thailand but asked for time to mourn before taking the throne. He accepted the throne on the night of 1 December 2016. His coronation took place from 4–6 May 2019. Royal Thai Marine Corps
The Royal Thai Marine Corps or RTMC ( th, ราชนาวิกโยธินแห่งราชอาณาจักรไทย) are the marines of the Royal Thai Navy. The Royal Thai Marine Corps was founded in 1932, when the first battalion was formed with the assistance of the United States Marine Corps. It was expanded to a regiment in 1940 and was in action against communist guerrillas throughout the 1950s and 1960s. Queen Sirikit ( th, สิริกิติ์; ; ); born ''Mom Rajawongse'' Sirikit Kitiyakara ( th, สิริกิติ์ กิติยากร; ; 12 August 1932) is the queen mother of Thailand.
