Royal Salute (whisky)
Royal Salute is a brand of luxury blended Scotch whisky produced and bottled by Chivas Brothers Ltd in Strathisla Distillery in Speyside, Scotland. Launched on 2 June 1953 in tribute to Queen Elizabeth II on the day of her Coronation, it has since been known as the whisky 'Created for Celebration'. Named after the ceremonial 21-gun salute that is fired from the Tower of London to mark special royal occasions, Royal Salute whiskies are aged for a minimum of 21 years, making it the only Scotch to begin its collection at exclusively 21 years-old. The name Royal Salute was given in the honor of 21 gun salute. San Francisco World Spirits Competition
The San Francisco World Spirits Competition was founded in 2001 by Anthony Dias Blue as an off-shoot of the San Francisco International Wine Competition. It assesses hundreds of entrants annually (1,407 in 2013 from 63 countries) with tastings involving panels of expert judges selected each year from the spirits industry including mixologists, spirits buyers, and media from across the United States. Producers must submit their product for the competition and pay a fee ($475 for 2013) for its evaluation. Not all entries are given awards (those not judged of sufficient quality are not given an award) but most receive a bronze, silver, or gold award from the tasting panel. The fact that most entrants receive an award likely involves some degree of self-selection, as the spirits producers choose whether to enter each of their brands in the competition and pay to receive a rating. Sentebale
Sentebale is a registered charity founded in 2006 by Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho. Sentebale helps children and adolescents struggling to come to terms with their HIV status. It provides a safe environment for them to address their mental health amongst their peers, giving them tools and knowledge. Prince Harry met Prince Seeiso during his gap year that he spent in Lesotho and was emotionally moved to help vulnerable children and young people in the country. During the Concert for Diana, Prince Harry explained the meaning behind the charity name. "Sentebale" means 'Forget me not' in Sesotho and the name was chosen "as a memorial to the charity work of our own mothers, as well as a reminder to us all not to forget Lesotho or its children." Richard Quinn (born 1990) is a fashion and print designer based in London. Early life Born in Lewisham hospital and raised in Eltham south east London, Quinn studied on the BA Fashion Print course at Central Saint Martins graduating in 2014. Polo is a ball game played on horseback, a traditional field sport and one of the world's oldest known team sports.
