Roy Iglesias
Roy C. Iglesias is a Filipino film writer and director. His most notable works include, among others, the 1976 film '' Ganito Kami Noon... Paano Kayo Ngayon?'', which was directed by National Artist of the Philippines, Eddie Romero, numerous entries in Regal Entertainment's ''Mano Po'' anthology film series and historical dramas '' Yamashita: The Tiger's Treasure'', ''Baler'' and '' Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story''. Scripts penned by Iglesias have seen him nominated to and winning most of the established Film awards in the Philippines, specifically the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards, the Luna Awards (awarded by the Film Academy of the Philippines and often referred to as the FAP awards), the Gawad Urian, Philippine Movie Press Club Star Awards, Young Critics Circle Award and the Metro Manila Film Festival. ''Ganito Kami Noon... Paano Kayo Ngayon?'' () is a 1976 Philippine period drama film set in the end of Spanish colonization and the start of American colonization in the Philippines. Directed by Eddie Romero and written by Romero and Roy C. Iglesias, it stars Christopher de Leon and Gloria Diaz in the lead roles. The film was selected as the Philippine entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 49th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee. In 2013, ABS-CBN Film Archives, in partnership with Central Digital Lab, digitally restored and remastered the film and was subsequently released in select theaters for a limited period of time. ''Feng Shui 2'' (stylized ''Feng Shui 二'') is a 2014 Philippine supernatural horror film. It is a sequel to the first film from 2004. Kris Aquino reprises her role as Joy Ramirez and Coco Martin plays Lester Anonuevo, the new owner of the 'cursed bagua'. ''Feng Shui'' is a 2004 Filipino supernatural horror film starring Kris Aquino. Co-written and directed by Chito S. Roño, it centres on a cursed Bagua mirror that brings death to those who stare it, with the circumstances of their death relating to their Chinese zodiac. Its screenplay was written by Roy Iglesias.
