Roy Evans
Roy Quentin Echlin Evans (born 4 October 1948) is an English former footballer who played as a defender for Liverpool. He eventually rose through the coaching ranks to become the team manager. While predominantly plying his trade for Liverpool, he had a short loan spell at Philadelphia Atoms and later went on to manage Liverpool, Fulham and Swindon. Career An England schoolboy international, Evans was a defender who was a long way down the pecking order at Liverpool in the 1960s and 1970s—he also spent the summer of 1973 in the North American Soccer League with the Philadelphia Atoms. Liverpool manager Bill Shankly saw something different in Evans, suggesting that he try a career as a coach. Bootle
Bootle (pronounced ) is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton, Merseyside, England, which had a population of 51,394 in 2011; the wider Parliamentary constituency had a population of 98,449. Historically part of Lancashire, Bootle's proximity to the Irish Sea and the industrial city of Liverpool to the south saw it grow rapidly in the 1800s, first as a dormitory town for wealthy merchants, and then as a centre of commerce and industry in its own right following the arrival of the railway and the expansion of the docks and shipping industries. Ronnie Moran
Ronald Moran (28 February 1934 – 22 March 2017) was a Liverpool captain and coach who twice served as caretaker manager in the early 1990s. Having spent his entire playing career at the club, he then became a member of the Boot Room coaching staff with Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley, Joe Fagan and Reuben Bennett, and was the club's longest-serving employee when he retired in 1998. Moran died on 22 March 2017, at the age of 83, as a Liverpool legend. Full-time player Moran was born in Crosby, Liverpool, and began his footballing career at Liverpool playing with the 'C' team while working as an apprentice electrician. John Barnes (footballer)
John Charles Bryan Barnes MBE (born 7 November 1963) is a former professional football player and manager. He currently works as an author, commentator and pundit for ESPN and SuperSport. Initially a quick, skilful left winger, he moved to central midfield later in his career. Barnes won two league titles with Liverpool, with whom he also won two cup finals at Wembley. He was also an FA Cup runner-up with Watford, Liverpool and Newcastle United. Barnes earned 79 international caps for England. Barnes was born and initially raised in Jamaica as the son of a military officer from Trinidad and Tobago and a Jamaican mother. He moved to London, England with his family when he was 12 years old. Mark John Kennedy (born 15 May 1976) is an Irish football coach and former professional footballer and currently the head coach of Lincoln City. As a player, he was a left back and left winger from 1992 to 2012. Philip Andrew Babb (born 30 November 1970) is a sports television pundit and former professional football player and manager. The 1994–95 season was the 115th season of competitive football in England. Overview Premiership Blackburn Rovers ended their 81-year wait for the league title thanks to the strike partnership of Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton which scored a total of more than 50 league goals. Manchester United would have made it three league titles in a row if they had been able to turn a 1–1 draw with West Ham United into a win on the final day of the season.
