Roy Erskine
Roy Erskine (born September 1931) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a full back. Erskine made a total of 46 appearances in the Scottish Football League. Career After completing his spell of national service, Erskine began his football career with Hibernian. He played in some other first team matches, including an East of Scotland Shield Final, but never made a league appearance for the team. Erskine later played for Peebles Rovers, Stirling Albion and Cowdenbeath. In Roy's nine league games for Stirling Albion, two of them were against Rangers. Both games were played in Stirling. The first was on 5 March 1955 and ended in a 2-0 victory for Rangers. The second game was on 22 October 1955 and ended in a 2-2 draw. Judy Murray
Judith Mary Murray, OBE (née Erskine; born 8 September 1959) is a Scottish tennis coach. She is the mother of professional tennis players Jamie and Sir Andy Murray. Life and career Murray was born on 8 September 1959 in Bridge of Allan, Stirlingshire, the daughter of Eileen Shirley (''née'' Edney) and Roy Erskine, an optician and former footballer who had played for Stirling Albion in the 1950s. She says that growing up, there were no indoor tennis courts in Scotland, so she played tennis in the summer and badminton in the winter. The Scottish Football League (SFL) was a league featuring professional and semi-professional football clubs mostly from Scotland.One club, Berwick Rangers, is based in the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, which is located approximately 4 km south of the Anglo-Scottish border.
