Roy Apps
Roy Apps (born 1951) is a British screenwriter, dramatist and children's author. In 2001 Roy Apps was awarded a personal BAFTA for outstanding contributions to children's film and television. For 10 years he wrote for the award-winning CBBC series ''Byker Grove'' where his first job was to write out the show's leading characters "PJ and Duncan" played by Ant and Dec. He co-devised and wrote for the award-winning series ''The Ghost Hunter'' and has contributed to many other TV series, including Chucklevision, Barmy Aunt Boomerang Barmy Aunt Boomerang is a children's comedy television series broadcast on BBC1 in the United Kingdom from 16 September 1999 to 21 December 2000. Byker Grove
Byker is a district in the east of the city and metropolitan borough of Newcastle upon Tyne. Home to the Byker Wall estate, made famous by TV series ''Byker Grove'', Byker’s population was recorded at 12,206 in the 2011 census. Byker is bordered by Heaton to the north and by Shieldfield to the north east. In popular culture Byker became well known as the setting of the BBC TV series ''Byker Grove'' (1989–2006); although set in the ward, the youth club featured in the series was filmed at The Mitre in the Benwell area in the west end of Newcastle. Ant & Dec are a British television presenting duo, consisting of Anthony McPartlin (born 18 November 1975) and Declan Donnelly (born 25 September 1975), from Newcastle upon Tyne, England. The Ghost Hunter (TV Series)
''The Ghost Hunter'' is a British children's drama series created for the BBC and based on the books ''The Ghost Hunter'' by Ivan Jones. It was first broadcast in January 2000 and the last series was first broadcast in 2002. Repeats continue to be shown on BBC and CBBC as well as in other countries. The first and second series were later reworked into two ninety-minute films. School location scenes from each of the three series were filmed at St. Laurence School in Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire. Barmy Aunt Boomerang is a children's comedy television series broadcast on BBC1 in the United Kingdom from 16 September 1999 to 21 December 2000. Sebastian's world is turned upside down by the arrival of his unconventional Australian aunt Boomerang. It is revealed in the first episode that Aunt Boomerang is in fact a ghost who was starring in an Australian soap when she was killed on set. ''Casper's Scare School'' (also known as ''Casper's Scare School: The Animated Series'') is a computer-animated series based on the computer-animated film of the same name featuring the Harvey Comics cartoon character Casper the Friendly Ghost.
