Roy Ananda
Roy Ananda is a South Australian artist and arts educator. He is Head of Drawing at Adelaide Central School of Art. Biography Roy Ananda was born in Adelaide, South Australia, in 1980. He has a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours) from Adelaide Central School of Art and a Master of Arts from the University of South Australia. Ananda was the South Australian recipient of the Qantas Foundation Art Award in 2010. His work has featured in the 2012 Heysen Sculpture Biennial and the 2018 Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art. Portraits of Ananda by Deidre But-Husaim have been finalists in the 2011 Archibald Prize and the 2011 Doug Moran Portrait Prize. Ananda was awarded the South Australian Living Artist Festival Publication in 2021. Ananda is married to artist Julia Robinson. Sean Llewellyn Williams (born 23 May 1967) is an Australian author of science fiction who lives in Adelaide, South Australia. Several of his books have been ''New York Times'' best-sellers. Early life and education Williams was born in Whyalla, South Australia on 23 May 1967. He studied sciences and music at Pulteney Grammar School and matriculated third in his year (1984), topping the state for Musical composition. That same year, he won the Young Composer's Award for a theme and three variations for string quartet with flute, oboe and trumpet soloists called "Release of Anger". The ''Dictionary of Australian Artists'' (DAA) was the outcome of a project begun in the 1970s at the University of Sydney under the leadership of Bernard Smith, and was continued after his retirement in 1981 by Joan Kerr.
