Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon (Portuguese: ''Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas'') is a lagoon in the district of Lagoa in the Zona Sul (South Zone) area of Rio de Janeiro. Julia Edward (born 20 February 1991) is a New Zealand rower, a two time world champion in the women's lightweight double sculls. Career In 2010, she won silver in the lightweight double sculls at the U23 world championships with Lucy Strack. A year later, she won bronze in the same event with Alyce Pulford. She competed with Louise Ayling at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Together with Sophie MacKenzie, she was world champion in the lightweight double scull for two years in a row; first at the 2014 World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam, and then at the 2015 World Rowing Championships in Aiguebelette. Sophie MacKenzie (born 31 March 1992) is a New Zealand Olympic rower and, together with Julia Edward, double world champion in lightweight double sculls. Private life MacKenzie was born in 1992 and grew up in the Waihopai Valley. Her parents are Aiden and Alison MacKenzie, and she has a brother and a sister. She attended Marlborough Girls' College in Blenheim and being from a remote farm, she hasn't lived at home since age 13, but has either lived in flats or for board. Katherine Sarah Copeland MBE (born 1 December 1990) is a retired British Olympic Gold Medal winning rower. Personal life She was born in Ashington, to vet parents Derek and Penny (they owned Copeland Veterinary Surgey, in Ingleby Barwick in 2012). She was 14 when she first learnt to row at Yarm School. She is a member of Tees Rowing Club, Stockton-on-Tees. As a teacher, she also runs an after school art club for autistic children in conjunction with the Three Wings Trust.
